"Well..." She said, "Why can't Thomas help you study? I bet he could help you relax too?" she said with a wink. I rolled my eyes. "He says he is fine waiting until I get into college. He says sex is not the most important thing to him. "He says that, but he's been waiting almost 3 years for you. Eventually he's going to give up," she said.

I frowned. "If he can't wait another 6 or so months, then he is not who I thought he was," I said, glaring at her. We arrived at school and got to our classrooms. The day went on as usual. A full day of classes, then home for dinner with my mom and dad. study time, shower, then bed. My birthday came and today was the first part of the SAT test. I went to school and I thought I did pretty well.

I wanted to walk home from school since the tests were long and a bit stressful. I needed some time to calm myself. The walk was not far at all really, just through some neighboring streets and cut across a back alleyway behind a shady little club, then down 6 more streets and a set of railroad tracks and, boom, I'd be home in no time. I could usually walk it within 20-30 minutes depending on how fast or slow I walked that day.

I took my time walking through the lazy part of town before getting to the more shady parts. Getting to the alleyway, I noticed something that froze my blood. It was Thomas's car. What in the hell was he parked in an alleyway for? Walking up to the car slowly, I could see movement. Inside. It was Thomas and a girl. He was missing his shirt and his pants were around his ankles. She was giving him a blow job. My blood started boiling.

I banged on his window. His shock was evident. "Aurora!" he yelled, pushing the blonde off him and yanking his pants up. Scrambling to get out of the car and try to catch me. "This..." I said, stopping and pointing at the girl. I couldn't speak. I was so angry that all I could do was laugh. I took a deep breath in centering myself before meeting his eyes with an icy glare.

"So this is why you said, "It's not a big deal, It's not important, you could wait," I said air quoting his words back to him. "Because you…Ughh, You Thomas are unbelievable!” I screamed at him, throwing my hands up in the air.

Taking a deep breath my eyes locked with his, “You have been getting what you needed elsewhere. So what, Thomas, how long have you been cheating on me? How many years?" I said my voice dripping with venom, the tone low and calm. It sent chills even down my own spine.

I didn’t care. I was angry, pushing his shoulder again, this time with more force. He was slung over the hood of his car. "I didn't... She doesn't mean." He stuttered out, trying to stand up reaching for me." Stop. Wait, let me," he continued. I shoved him back. "To think I was this close to sleeping with you tonight on my birthday. Man, did I really dodge a bullet?" I said, shoving his chest again and walking away. He yelled and begged for me to come back. "Aurora! Wait! Let me explain:" He called over and over. I ignored him and continued to walk away, feeling my heart shatter with each step.

I walked away as he yelled for me to wait to come back, but I couldn’t. I walked for some time until I ended up on Lilly’s doorstep. It had started raining, and it was a bit nippy outside, but I didn’t feel it. I climbed the lattice and to the top of the over hang coming to sit outside her window. I tapped first. She didn’t open it. So I beat on her bedroom window. She opened her window and saw me sitting there soaking wet. “Oh my god, Aurora, what happened?” she said, lifting her window the rest of the way, snapping her screen out, then reached for me. I took her hand and climbed through her window.

“What happened?” She asked again as she grabbed two towels from her bathroom and coming back. She wrapped one towel around me, then using the other, she started to dry my hair. I was angry and hurt, but I didn’t feel the need to cry. I wanted to burn the whole damn city down with him and his slut in it! “Thomas” I said, glaring angrily at the mirror to her reflection. “You were right,” I said, sighing trying to let go of my anger. “I found him in his car with a blond slut giving him head” I said my shoulders slumping. Lilly froze her eyes, going wide. “Oh honey I…I am sorry I didn’t want to be right,” she said, her eyes reflecting her anger and sadness for me. “It’s over between us,” I said in a small voice, my eyes moving to the ground. “At least I can focus on school now and not have him berating me to get in my pants” I said trying to make light of this entire screwed up situation.

Lilly stopped drying my hair and came to kneel in front of me. “I know you and I know when you are hurting you are my soul, sister. Your pain is very much my pain. Your anger is very much my anger,” she said, placing her hands on my knees. “For just one night you are going to be a regular 18-year-old young woman,” she said, smiling. “For tonight, we are going to get dressed up and go out! It’s your birthday after all!” “I.. I can't, I have to study,” I said. “No, we are getting you dressed up, and you are going out. You can resume your studies tomorrow, but for tonight you’re going to forget about your piece of shit ex and celebrate your birthday, Lilly-style,” she said with a smile, running to her closet.

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   Epilogue — The Future We Fought For Part Two

Aurora’s POVThe sound of footsteps approaching through the garden path pulled me from the quiet moment between Damon and me. I already knew who it was before I turned. Our bond had always been strong, but motherhood had changed something inside me. I could feel Thea before I saw her.Her joy. Her excitement. Her endless curiosity. Our daughter had inherited many things from both of us. My magic. Damon’s stubbornness. His determination. My inability to give up on anyone. And somehow, despite only being four years old, she had already mastered the art of making an entire kingdom revolve around her. I smiled."She's coming."Damon immediately straightened. The terrifying king who had faced gods disappeared. The warrior who had stood against armies vanished. In his place was simply a father waiting for his little girl. I had to fight the urge to laugh."You know she is only going to run into your arms.""I know.""You are acting like you are preparing for battle."He looked at me serious

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   Epilogue — The Future We Fought For Part One

Aurora’s POVThere was a time when I believed peace was something fragile. Something temporary. Something that could disappear the moment you allowed yourself to believe in it. I had spent so much of my life preparing for the next loss that I never truly understood how to accept happiness when it finally arrived. But now...Now I sat in the gardens of Veiled Valley beneath a warm afternoon sun, surrounded by flowers that Damon had planted himself, listening to the quiet sounds of our kingdom living beyond the castle walls. Children laughing. Warriors training. Families gathering. Life. Real, ordinary, beautiful life. And I was still sometimes amazed that we had made it here. Four years. It had been four years since Lucian had been sealed away beneath the earth. Four years since the world had nearly ended. Four years since we had stood together against a god who believed love was a weakness. And four years since we proved him wrong. The garden had become my favorite place in the kingdo

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   The Prison of Moonlight

Damon’s POVThe sky broke. There was no other way to describe it. One moment, Veiled Valley stood beneath the moonlight, the kingdom we had fought so hard to rebuild standing strong against the coming darkness. The next…The heavens themselves seemed to split apart. Black cracks spread across the sky like wounds, and from those wounds poured the power of something ancient.Something that had existed before kingdoms. Before wars. Before any of us had ever drawn breath. Lucian stepped forward from the darkness. Not as a shadow. Not as a whisper. Not as a voice inside my mind. He came as a god. The pressure of his presence forced warriors to their knees. The ground beneath us trembled. The stone walls surrounding Veiled Valley groaned under the weight of his power. And still… I stood. Aurora stood beside me. That was the difference. For the first time since this began, Lucian was not fighting the broken parts of me. He was fighting the whole of me.“You look disappointed.”Lucian’s voice

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   When the Darkness Arrives

Damon’s POVThe first night without Thea was the hardest. I didn't expect it to be. I had spent years as a warrior. I had spent months away from home during campaigns. I had slept on battlefields, in forests, and beneath skies filled with enemies waiting for the right moment to attack. But none of those moments compared to walking past my daughter's room and seeing the empty bed. I stood in the doorway longer than I should have. Her little blanket was still folded where Aurora had placed it that morning. A small toy sat near the edge of the bed, abandoned because Thea had decided something else was more interesting. A normal thing. A simple thing. And somehow, it hurt more than any wound I had ever received. Aurora found me there. She didn't say anything at first. She simply walked beside me and leaned against the doorframe."You're thinking about bringing her back."I looked at her. "Is it that obvious?" She gave me a small smile. "To me? Yes." I looked back into the room. "I know

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   The Choice Between Hearts

Claire’s POVThe moment the darkness touched the horizon, I knew. My magic screamed and my bones ached for a disbursement of it. I had spent my entire life sensing things others couldn't. Not because I was stronger. Not because I was more powerful. Because I listened. Magic had a voice. The earth had a voice. The moon had a voice. And tonight… The world was screaming. I stood in the gardens of West Haven, watching the sky change. The stars had disappeared. The air felt heavy. Wrong. My hand tightened around the stone railing. "No..."The word left me before I could stop it. Kent immediately noticed. He always did. After all these years, he knew every expression, every breath, every silence."What is it?"I didn't answer immediately. Because saying it aloud would make it real. But he already knew. His face changed."Claire."I turned toward him. "Lucian." The name alone carried weight. Kent's expression hardened instantly. "Where?""Veiled Valley." a Silence filled the air. Then the de

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   The Storm Before the War

Damon’s POVThe gates of Veiled Valley closed behind the vehicle carrying my daughter, and for the first time in years, the castle felt too large. I had fought armies that stretched farther than my eyes could see. I had stood across battlefields covered in blood and ash. I had faced creatures born from darkness and looked death in the eyes without hesitation. But watching Thea leave with the people I trusted most was different. There was no enemy to strike. No sword to raise. No battle to win. Only the unbearable knowledge that protecting her meant letting her go. Aurora stood beside me, silent. I knew she felt the same emptiness. The bond between us had always been powerful, but there were moments when words weren't needed. I could feel her emotions as clearly as my own. The worry she refused to show. The ache she tried to hide. The part of her that wanted to run after the vehicle and bring our daughter back into her arms.I understood because I felt the same. But we were not only pa

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   Leaving With Mr, Mysterious

Damon's POV: I looked at this silver-eyed beauty. My head clouded. I wasn't sure what I must have drunk to make me feel this way. I'd had a single whiskey. It occurred to me, I may have been drugged. My eyes went wide with the realization. Before I could stand up and go speak with my beta abou

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   Mr, Mysterious

We danced together, after refilling my glass. We laughed and jumped to the beat. I could feel wandering eyes on me, so I looked around. I did not see anyone. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end. It was not unpleasant but made me hyper-aware of being watched by someone. I glanced aroun

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   Getting Over Thomas

An hour later, I was standing in front of her full-length mirror. I had a short tight fighting black dress that ended mid-thigh, a slit on the side went to my hip. Black heels. My brown hair she had dried and picked out, letting my natural curls come out resting down my back. She did my make-up in
