Mr, Mysterious

We danced together, after refilling my glass. We laughed and jumped to the beat. I could feel wandering eyes on me, so I looked around. I did not see anyone. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end. It was not unpleasant but made me hyper-aware of being watched by someone.

I glanced around, then finally my eyes got drawn up. The VIP room had a floor-to-ceiling window view to the dance floor and there stood a man on the railing staring straight through to my soul. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen in my life who was staring through the crowd of party-goers at me. My eyes locked with his, His eyes were lustful and locked on me.

Sending a shiver down my spine. “Who is that?” I asked Lilly as I jumped to the beat… Nodding for her to look at the VIP room window. A man stood dressed in a black dress shirt half unbuttoned. You could see part of his broad chest he wore black slacks and shined shoes that reflected the light.  His dark sandy colored hair slicked back.

His blue eyes locked with mine. “MINE,” the voice said in the back of my head. Again, this voice was the same as earlier. “Jesus Christ, Who is that fine specimen?” Lilly said, looking at him with her eyes wide. A seductive smile playing on her lips. We stopped dancing and now both of us were looking up at him.

A pang of jealousy hit me from her checking him out. My alcohol tolerance was low, and I had already drunk several of these strong drinks. My head was fuzzy, and I was feeling more brave than usual. “I don’t know, but I’m going to find out,” I laughed. I tipped my glass to her and said, “Don’t wait for me,” winking at her.

I walked away towards the VIP Suite steps. Walking up to the bouncer at the bottom of the steps, I was not sure what I was expecting. The guy had longer dark brown almost black hair pulled back into a low ponytail. I could tell he had a beard and mustache combo 5' o clock shadow starting. a studded diamond earring in his left ear. He was tall and muscled. Wearing a black suit he stood at the velvet rope like a statue.

His blue eyes were stern looking at me. Walking up I was not sure what to say to him, so I just looked at him. Then the red velvet rope blocking the steps. His eyes glazed over for a moment like he was thinking. His eyes then came back into focus and he looked at me, smiled, gave me a slight bow as he removed the rope to let me pass. I smiled and nodded a thank you as I walked past him.

“What the hell am I doing?” I thought as I slowly walked up the steps. “This isn’t me” I got to the top of the steps and the VIP door opened automatically, almost like the guy downstairs had told them I was coming up. Another bodyguard stood there wearing a black suit. He, too, had a studded diamond earring; only this guy’s earring was in his right ear. His hazel eyes locked on me.

His dark brown hair was slicked back like a business professional would. He looks behind him at the handsome man. The handsome man was sitting on the couch alone. The music was muffled, but you could still hear it. “Toney, Let her in,” he said, waving the guard off.  The guard gave me a smile before letting me pass. He then stepped out of the room and closed the door.

I stood in silence just looking at him. My heart was racing. “You can come closer,” he said, patting the seat beside him. I gave a small smile and walked over and sat beside him. He smelled amazing, like a clean fresh waterfall with a hint of cedar. I had no idea how I could smell the scents, but I did and it was very alluring.

“You were watching me,” I said with a nervous smile touching the corner of my lips. “I was,” he admitted. “Why?”  “Well” he said, setting his glass of whiskey down on the glass table. He looked at me, his blue eyes locking with mine.  "I saw you and something in me screamed I needed to know you,” he said honestly. “What brings you here ms..?” He trailed off in a polite but questioning tone.

“Aurora,” I said faintly. My eyes raking over him. He noticed my eyes had been raking over him and smiled at me. His K-9 teeth were more prominent than the rest of his beautiful white teeth, but it made his smile very enchanting. I wondered for a moment what it would feel like for him to sensually bite me with them.

Realizing where my thoughts had taken me, I blushed a little. Everything about this man had my soul on fire. I had never even once thought about Thomas the way I am clearly thinking about this man I just met and don’t even know his name. I cleared my throat and said, “I’m Aurora and you areeee..??” I said tilting my head in question. “Damon,” he said quickly.

“I saw you watching me from the window and, umm.. Thought I’d come introduce myself,” I said, my voice sounding smaller and less confident than a moment ago. My throat felt dry, so I downed the rest of my drink. Damon smiled and downed the rest of his drink, leaning forward, he touched my hand. Sparks and tingles erupting from his touch across my skin, giving me goosebumps.

I didn’t react, just sat frozen. For a moment, he looked at our hands in shock, a surprised look in his eyes and he sat frozen for a moment. I wondered if I did something wrong. let out a breath and relaxed, when he used his thumb and started to draw little circles on the back of my hand.

His touch kept sending ripples of tingles and sparks down my arm. Giving me goose bumps. I was not thinking clearly. His touch was doing something I didn’t fully understand. “Do you want to get out of here Aurora, somewhere mooore…..intimate?” he said softly, a seductive smile playing on his lips.

Aurora’s POV: Damon’s mouth found the curve of my throat as he pushed me against the wall. His hands bracketed my ribs, his thumbs tracing the swell of my breasts through the thin linen of my dress. My head fell back against the wood, a shuddering exhale escaping my lips as his teeth grazed the skin beneath my ear. Not biting. More of him promising. The heat in my belly was immediate and consuming. My fingers found the waist of his pants, tugging at the laces with a clumsiness born of urgency. “You’re wearing too many clothes,” I managed low and gasping the words half-laugh, half-gasp.“Then do something about it.” His voice was a low rumble against my skin sending thrills down my spine. Max stirred beneath it—the beast peering through red-flecked eyes, patient but ravenous. My hands ran down his chest, looping around buttons and laces with a deftness that made him suck in a breath. The fabric of his shirt parted. His pants dropped to the floor. I pulled and tugged until he stood bar

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   Id burn the world to ash

Present Day — Hagetha's POVMy eyes snapped open. The memory dissolved like smoke, leaving me standing once more within the ancient chamber beneath the ruins. Silence surrounded me. Not the comforting silence of peace. The silence of something waiting. I slowly raised a trembling hand to my cheek. Moisture. A tear. With a frustrated growl, I wiped it away. "No..." I would not cry. Not now. Not after everything. Lucian had been waiting for me for centuries. Every sacrifice... Every life I had taken... Every soul I had broken... Every kingdom I had manipulated... Every vessel I had created... It had all been for him. For us.Rick had merely been another step toward fulfilling the promise I'd made on that battlefield. I turned toward the endless darkness stretching beyond the ancient archway. "My love..." My voice echoed through the abyss. "I failed to protect Rick."My fingers tightened around my staff. "But I haven't failed you." The darkness answered with nothing more than a low vibra

The memory shifted. Years passed in the span of a heartbeat. I remembered every stolen glance. Every walk beneath the stars. Every kiss that left me believing I had found the one soul the universe had created for mine. I remembered laughing with him beside crystal lakes, watching meteors streak across the heavens as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders, listening to him tell stories about the beginning of creation. He always knew exactly what to say. Exactly when to smile. Exactly when to touch my hand. Exactly when to look into my eyes until the rest of the world disappeared.Now...Looking back through centuries clouded by grief... I could still feel the way he had been with me. The warmth of his voice. The patience in his touch. The way he made me believe, even for a little while, that I was cherished beyond measure. I had loved him with everything I was, and even now, that love refused to die quietly.Part of me still wanted to believe those moments had been real. Because if they

Hagetha's POV"No..." The word escaped my lips in little more than a whisper. The ritual chamber shuddered around me, not from stone or earth, but from magic itself. Black runes carved into the floor splintered one after another, tiny fractures spreading through the glowing symbols like cracks racing across frozen ice. I reached for Rick.Nothing. My magic slipped through the connection as though it no longer existed. Again. Nothing. The bond I'd spent years forging... was gone. "No!"Dark energy burst from my hands, slamming into the walls. Candles exploded. Shelves collapsed beneath the force. Dust filled the air, yet none of it mattered. Rick had vanished from my control. Not dead. No... Worse. I could still feel him. Faint. Distant. Locked away."Aurora..." I hissed her name through clenched teeth."What did you do?" I closed my eyes and reached deeper, searching for the thread that had always connected me to Rick. There. Barely. A strand no thicker than a spider's web. Still aliv

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   CHAPTER 84 – THE QUIET BEFORE THE AWAKENING

Aurora's POVThe nursery had never been this quiet. Not the peaceful kind of quiet that came with sleeping babies or late evenings. This was different. It felt heavy. Like the castle itself was waiting for something... and didn't know if it should hope or fear what came next.Thea slept against my shoulder, her tiny breaths warm against my neck. Every so often, her fingers opened and closed, catching the fabric of my shirt before relaxing again. I held her a little tighter. Across the room, Rick remained exactly where the magic had frozen him. A statue of gray stone.Kneeling. Head bowed. One hand still stretched toward the place where he'd been holding my daughter. It was unsettling. If I didn't know better, I'd swear he would move if I blinked. Damon walked over beside me, his footsteps soft against the nursery floor. He looked from Thea to Rick, then back again."So..." he finally said. His voice was quiet enough not to wake the baby. "What exactly are we looking at?"I let out a t

  • The Lycan Prince's True Luna Queen   The Stone Judgement

Aurora’s POVThe silence in the nursery wasn’t peace. It was weight. Heavy enough to crush breath from lungs. Heavy enough to make even warriors outside hesitate before entering. Rick was still on his knees. Still holding Thea. Still crying. But the tendrils were no longer simply reacting. They were failing. Flickering like dying embers. Yet I could feel it underneath everything. Something far worse than loss of control.A secondary presence. Not Rick’s. Not Hagetha’s alone. Something older was pushing back against his awakening clarity. Something hungry. Something patient. Something that did not like being denied. Lucian. I had never seen him. Never faced him. But I had felt his shadow before. And now it was reacting. Because Rick was no longer a perfect vessel. He was becoming unstable. That made him dangerous. To us. To Thea. To the world. Damon stepped beside me slowly. His eyes never left Rick. Max was tense inside him now. Focused again. Predator focus. Not confusion anymore. Ju

Damon's POV: I looked at this silver-eyed beauty. My head clouded. I wasn't sure what I must have drunk to make me feel this way. I'd had a single whiskey. It occurred to me, I may have been drugged. My eyes went wide with the realization. Before I could stand up and go speak with my beta abou
