Raphael~

"You are pale," Logan said as he watched me, his expression laced with worry. "Are you sure you can do it?"

"I can," I replied without hesitation. "I am just bringing her some food." But my tone was tight, even to my own ears.

"Won't she be suspicious that the Alpha of the Crimsonclaw pack is bringing her food?" Lance countered, not to be discouraging but because he was worried. We were all worried.

"I have a story for that already; you don't need to worry." I turned to the brothers with the platter in my hands. This was not the first time I was bringing her food. A sense of déjà vu washed over me, as I remembered how I had served her food the first time and even fed her myself. But now I was nervous, my palms clammy and my spine tingling with anticipation.

I faced Logan first. "I know her situation is dire, but it could have been worse. We have her now, and we will protect her. But for now, I just don't want to leave her side for too long." My voice held a vulnerability that

Lucianne~The rain was heavy, and my feet barely touched the ground as I ran through the woods. My heart was beating out of my chest, and I had an eerie feeling that I was not alone in the foliage. Every sense told me to run despite not knowing what exactly I was running from. Then a loud thunder overhead startled me into stopping. I looked around the woods to see no way out. It was like a maze that looked impossible to solve. Suddenly, my shoulders grew heavy, and hands came to grab them. A jolt ran down my spine.I awakened with a gasp, my breath coming in short, sharp bursts. The cold night air stung my lungs, reminding me that the dream was over, but the sense of fear and urgency lingered. I sat up, trying to shake off the remnants of the nightmare. My room was dark, the only light coming from the dim glow of the moon seeping through the thin curtains. As I gathered my thoughts, I couldn't help but wonder what it all meant. The dream felt so real, as if the woods were calling out

Raphael~The whole table was a cacophony of voices, all raised and agitated. I couldn't, for the life of me, think in that chaos. Still, her face flashed periodically in my memory, in sync with the beating of my heart. Tortured and tormented, in pain and vulnerable. She almost died, and I almost lost her. Now, it seemed that, in one way or another, I had lost her anyway. We had called a meeting to discuss the next course of action, but it looked like nothing would come of it. I sighed deeply before getting to my feet and slamming a fist on the table. The table went instantly silent. Alpha Lucas raised his head, and our eyes met. He was not the same man he was about a week ago. He looked like he had aged a decade, his face and body weighed down by grief and hopelessness. He was devastated that his daughter had lost her wolf, but it destroyed him that she had lost her memory and that now he was no less than a stranger in her eyes. The despair in his eyes was beginning to resemble someon

Lucianne~Even opening my eyes was painful, but I followed the sound of soft snoring inch by inch until my eyelids fluttered open. I tried to move my body, but with each flex of my muscles, pain coursed through me. I groaned. At this rate, there was no way I was going to be able to sit up.I didn't even know who was snoring, but the sound was foreign. I flexed my fingers experimentally to see how much my body could take. I went too far, and a loud moan tore through the silence of the room. It made the person who was sleeping stir and rouse from sleep. The person raised his head.---Raphael~I heard her, and my heart stopped. I raised my head from the bed where I had been sleeping so fast that I was afraid I would have hit her. Our eyes met, anticipation charging the air.I had been pondering how she would look at me once she woke up. Would it be hatred? Or fear? Now, we were face to face, and her expression was blank. She was still in shock; that much I knew. But she was awake, and t

Raphael~There was a brief moment of shock from Jameson before he shifted as well. I didn't use claws—no, I went in for the kill, bringing my teeth to his neck and crushing. His wolf dwarfed mine by far; he stood absolutely no chance. He whined, actually whined, as I put all my strength behind the singular bite. I was not planning on maiming him; this was far past that. I would kill, I would separate his head from his body. The clamor behind us stopped as Reiner tried to come to his rescue. His assassin came at me, slashing wildly at my hide, but his steel might as well have been paper at that moment. No one, not even the goddess herself, would be able to rip this bastard from me. She could come at me with a generational curse, but I did not give a fuck.I was livid, and every thought speeding through my head was murder. Nox had seen his mate, sensed the fact that her wolf had been ripped out of her. He wanted vengeance as much as I did. The goddess be damned. Just because my father h

Raphael ~Lucianne felt heavy. Too heavy. Like dead weight, but she wasn't dead—at least, not yet. I could still feel her life force, but something was missing. Nova was not there with her. Her wolf was gone. Severing the bond with a wolf was detrimental. A person would never be whole again; while it was possible to live without one's wolf, it was akin to losing a vital part of oneself. The connection that once pulsed with shared thoughts and emotions was now an empty void, a silence that echoed painfully in the space where Nova's presence should have been. The absence of her wolf left Lucianne incomplete, as if the world had shifted off its axis, leaving everything cold and unsteady. As I carried her, the realization that she might never be the same gnawed at me. I felt an overwhelming mix of guilt and helplessness. This was my fault. I had been so focused on my revenge, so blinded by my anger, that I had put her in this position. The thought of losing her completely, of not being ab
