“Rain? Do you not like me?” Jasper asked, and Rain did not respond to him immediately.

The way his eyes scrunched and his shoulders drooped a little told me how much Rain was terrorizing him right now.

“Come on, don’t keep him waiting” I urged her, but she only said, “You have spent all these days with him, not me. Do you want me to judge him in two minutes?”

She had a point, but the way she was ogling him told me her restraint was crumbling.

“Please, did I do something wrong?” His hands, that were thrown to his sides as if he was presenting some grand gift, fell limply to his sides. They slapped against his thighs as he grew worried by the minute.
