The words were out of my mouth before I could stop them. And I knew at that moment that whatever had happened between us, was gone.

Jasper’s eyes which were filled with desire and want suddenly were wiped off of all the earlier emotions.

His face had resumed his earlier stoic expression and he gave me a long, hard look before answering,

I felt the air around me suddenly go stiff like a board and wanted to drag him back to the bed, to touch me all over my body, to again feel his mouth on mine but he had walked towards the wardrobe and pulled open the doors.

Shuffling through the plethora of fabrics, he pulled out something and replied, “Get dressed”

Where were we going at this ungodly hour?

What type of dress was I supposed to wear?

Were we going to meet someone?

I had no idea but he did not stay back to answer any of those questions. He only tied a long, silky robe around his waist and walked out without another word.
