Chapter Ten.

Lyra’s POV.

Aurelia. Aurelia. Aurelia.

That name tasted like poison in my mouth. I was so sick and tired of hearing it, of seeing that perfectly shaped face of hers and the gorgeous waves of hair that fell off her shoulders.

The same hair that everyone always stopped to admire. The same face that made men look twice, their eyes following her across a room.

Ever since we were kids, everyone liked Aurelia better. She was the perfect princess, the golden daughter anyone would want. The precious Alpha’s girl who could do no wrong.

And I was just Kade’s girl— an afterthought, the daughter of a traitor that everyone whispered about with disgust.

She got the best clothes, the sweetest treats. The most attention and Liam. She got Liam, the only boy I had ever truly wanted.

A wicked smile spread across my face, as a warm satisfied feeling bloomed in my chest.

She was nothing now. A mere tribute living on borrowed air, her perfect world destroyed overnight.

“But she’s still alive.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN.AURELIA’S POV.A loud piercing scream followed by a horrifying howl vibrated deep inside my skull. I was on all fours. But they weren’t hands and knees. They were paws, big, thick, Grey-furred and tipped with sharp dark claws that scratched the floor with terrifying ease.A powerful, restless energy I had never felt before exploded in my veins. For the first time in my life, I felt strength coursing through every inch of me.I could smell everything, even the sharp, clean scent of Lyra’s fear rolling off her in waves. She was pressed against the wall, her eyes wide open with fear and disbelief, her lips quivered as she stumbled backwards away from me.The scent of her fear wrapped around my senses in a weird manner and I felt something shift inside of me and seize control of my new body. I no longer felt like myself and my eyes zeroed in on Lyra’s body, recognizing her as prey.A low, rumbling growl vibrated in my own chest before I could stop it and I took a step f

CHAPTER SIXTEEN.AURELIA’S POV.The moment Rylan slammed the door shut behind him, I inhaled sharply, air finally bursting through my lungs as my chest rose and fell heavily.A raw, hot ache bloomed between my legs where the hard wood of the dagger’s hilt had pressed into me and it began to tingle with a weird sensation. My wrists throbbed due to how fierce his grip was, I absentmindedly reached down to massage it and the scent hit me.The unmistakable, dominant scent of him, Rylan,And underneath it, the sweet, musky scent of my own arousal drifted towards me and my stomach churned aggressively at the mere thought of it.I pulled my knees closer to my chest, wrapping my arms around myself. My fingers lifted, almost on its own, and touched the side of my neck where his mouth had been. The skin felt too sensitive under my touch and I shivered lightly.Rylan’s face suddenly flashed before my eyes, the intense focus I had seen in his eyes as he brought the slick hilt of the blade to his

CHAPTER FIFTEEN.LYRA’S POV.This wasn’t the picture I had painted in my head.I had imagined him leaving her room covered in her blood, a wild, satisfied look in his eyes because I knew she would be dumb enough to think she could kill him. But the man standing before me didn’t look like someone that had just murdered someone in cold blood. His hair was disheveled, his breath not quite even and his eyes held a dark, stormy intensity but it wasn’t the kind of look I’d expected to see in his eyes, especially when it was directed at me.“Rylan?” I said, my wide smile fading completely as my eyes rested on the blade he thrust in front on me, “Is something wrong?”He didn’t answer. He just stepped forward, his eyes locking onto mine with some sort of look in them that made my spine stiffen. I saw his his eyes drop to the blade in his hand before it snapped back up to me.I shifted uncomfortably on my feet, a nervous flutter exploded from the pit of my stomach.I knew he was supposed to be

Chapter Fourteen.Rylan’s POV.Fear looked good on her.It made her eyes wide and dark, her breath came in shallow little pants that made my blood boil hot underneath my skin. But it wasn’t the fear of the blade in my hand, it was the other one.The one that made her cheeks flush and heat up, the one that sent the tremble in her thighs that had nothing to do with the cold. She was terrified of what she wanted, terrified of me and for a moment, terrified of that truth.I had her tied, exposed and completely at my mercy. She’d tried to kill me and that instinct was almost… charming. But her refusal to break and tell me who gave her the blade was beginning to get on my nerves.Carefully, I dragged the smooth, cool wood upward, through her wetness and pressed it against her. Her back arched off the bed, a silent scream rumbling out of her.Her hips lifted, instinctively seeking more pressure against the blade even if her facial features showed she was disgusted by it.“Stay still,” I warn

Chapter Thirteen.Aurelia’s POV.The world stopped. I could smell his blood, the heavy scent it carried mixed with the smell of burnt-flesh from the dagger wound that didn’t kill him.His grip around my wrist tightened like a vice as his blood soaked through my nightdress, hot and slick. The air vanished from my lungs, my eyes widened in horror and my heart skipped a beat as I waited for him to do something, anything. For his fingers to snap my bones. For his canine to find my throat. He was definitely going to kill me for this and I knew that fact well enough. But he didn’t move. He just held me there, crushed against his chest, his breathing gradually slowing down as the terrifying smirk on his lips stretched even wider in the most horrifying manner I had ever seen. “Not bad,” he said, his voice low and rough, “you’ve got a killer’s instinct. I’ll give you that.” He suddenly shoved me off him. I stumbled back, falling onto the floor. My palms scraped against the bare floor, bu

  • The Lycan’s Tribute: Claimed By My Foster Brothers   To Kill A Lycan

Chapter Twelve.Aurelia’s POV.“It’s a rare kind of silver, forged in the old ways and there are very few of it left in the world.”“The whole blade’s been dipped in wolf’s-bane. One scratch is a death sentence.”“Even for a Lycan.”Sheila’s words echoed in my head over and over again, a few minutes after she had quietly slipped out of my room.I slid my hand under my pillow, just to be sure this wasn’t a dream and when my hand wrapped around the dagger, I sighed in relief. It was heavier than I expected. The hilt was plain, dark wood, but the blade… even in the dim light, seemed to stand out. It wasn’t bright and shiny, it was a dull grey and it had a deadly looking appeal to it.My palm grew slick with sweat. This was it. My one chance to finally make them pay.I didn’t trust Sheila, neither did I trust her promise to help me escape afterwards, I just needed one clean strike.I would never be able to get out alive after killing one of them but I didn’t care, if I could take one of t
