I didn't realise that I had made such a massive impact on his life that he had fallen head over heels in love with me and everything that happened to try to separate us just added to the possessiveness that he now has for me. Zachariah is the first to get out of the shower, grab a towel, and walk out of the bathroom. I take just a moment longer and think about what happened at the cliff and then what Morpheus had said about me being able to make him obey me as well. I understand how easily it came to Morpheus to give the order to obey and not think twice about it. He is an Alpha; he has always been in control, always the leader. I giggle but then frown until I look into his eyes and see that they are a mix of both him and Morpheus. I don’t think as my training kicks in and I run to see what is going on. I am surprised when I see lots of werewolves in both their wolf and human forms. However, it's not the wolves that are attacking. Each human form seems to have a small pistol-like weapon. I watch in horror for a few moments as they lift these weapons, pointing them at not only the guards but everyone. It seems to happen in slow motion, as the pistols shoot and the person they are pointing at then falls to the ground. I am startled into action when my wolf makes me move as one of those pistols is pointed and fired in my direction. I dodge whatever they are shooting, run and attack the human-wolf that shot at me. I fight him, but once I have the upper hand, I don’t kill him but knock him out. I then pick up the pistol and take a very close look at it, but it doesn’t look like a normal gun. I see the argument they both are having within themselves, but I stand my ground. If I lose Zachariah, then there is no point in fighting the Demon’s contract claim over me. Zachariah snaps his eyes to mine, making me realise that I had sent what I was feeling over our bond. He closes the gap between us and has his hand on my cheek before I realise that he has actually moved. He then whispers, “I will not let you give yourself to him. I flinch as one hand touches my arm and the other moves my hair, hooking it behind my ear before placing it on my cheek. Tears sting my eyes as I don’t know if I can trust what I am feeling. I feel the tingles and sparks telling me that Zachariah is touching me, but then I feel his hands and even without the tingles and sparks, they cause pleasure to run through my body.I shiver, thinking and feeling like I have just done what I said that I would never do, and that is, give my body willingly to someone else other than Zachariah. My breaths then start to shallow and I am finding it hard to breathe. When I wake, I am wrapped tightly within Zachariah’s arms and he has nothing on other than his boxers, allowing my hands to slide effortlessly over the skin and muscles of his chest.
