The magical encounter

Chapter 2: The magical Encounter.

It was 8 p.m.. Skylar walked home from her part-time job, lost in thought. She had been trying to move on from her unrequited love with Celeste for weeks, but it seemed impossible. As she walked, she couldn't help but think about the one person who had captured her heart and refused to let go.

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice the figure walking towards her until she was almost upon him. She looked up and saw a tall, handsome man with chiseled features that seemed to have been carved by the gods themselves. He had piercing blue eyes that seemed to look right through her, and for a moment, Skylar was lost in them.

"Excuse me," the man said, breaking her trance. "Are you okay?"

Skylar shook her head, realizing she had been staring. "Yes, sorry. I'm fine," she replied.

The man smiled at her, and Skylar felt her heart skip a beat. "I'm Skylar," she said, holding out her hand.

The man took her hand and shook it firmly. "I'm Asher," he said, his voice deep and rich.

She felt her heart skip a beat as he strode towards her, his eyes never leaving hers.

"I couldn't help but notice you! " He said.

She offered him a small smile.

"So, Skylar, what brings you out here at this hour?" Asher asked, his eyes still fixed on hers.

"I just finished my shift at the diner down the road," Skylar explained.

"That's a shame," Asher said, his tone playful. "I was hoping you were out here looking for me."

Skylar couldn't help but laugh at his boldness. "Well, I didn't know you existed until a few minutes ago," she said with a grin.

Asher chuckled. "Fair enough!"

They stood there for a moment, just looking at each other, before Skylar realized she had to go. "Well, it was nice meeting you, but I have to get going," she said, starting to walk away.

"Wait," Asher called after her.

Skylar turned back to him, surprised. " What do you want?" She asked.

"Before you go, can I at least get your number? Maybe we could grab a coffee sometime."

Skylar hesitated for a moment before responding. " No thank you! I'm not interested. It was a pleasure to meet you."

As she walked home, Skylar couldn't help but think about Asher and the way he made her feel.

But she knew it was best to stay focused on her goals and not get distracted by a guy she just met.

As she entered her apartment, her roommate, and bestfriend Lily, greeted her. "Hey, Skylar! How was your day?"

Skylar sighed. "It was fine, just ran some errands and met a guy at the park."

Lily's eyes widened. "Ooh, a guy? Tell me more!"

Skylar rolled her eyes. "It's not a big deal, Lily. We just had a brief conversation, that's all."

Lily grinned nudging Skylar. "Come on, don't be shy! What did he look like?"

"He was tall, had dark hair and blue eyes," Skylar replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

"A handsome stranger, huh?" Lily teased.

Skylar laughed. "I guess you could say that."

The rest of the evening passed by quickly, with Skylar and lily catching up on each other's lives. But as she lay in bed that night, Skylar couldn't shake off the memory of Asher. She wondered if she made the right choice by turning him down.

The next day, Skylar decided to go for a walk in the park again. She had enjoyed her time there the previous day and hoped to clear her mind. As she walked, she noticed someone following her. She turned around and saw Asher walking a few steps behind her.

"Hey there," he said with a smile.

Skylar was surprised to see him. "Oh, hi Asher. What are you doing here?"

"I come here often for a walk. It's a nice place to clear my head," he replied.

Skylar nodded, feeling nervous. She wasn't sure what to say to him. Asher, on the other hand, seemed comfortable around her.

"Would you like some company?" he asked, gesturing towards the path ahead.

Skylar hesitated for a moment before nodding. She didn't know why, but she felt drawn to him. They walked together in silence for a few minutes before Asher spoke up.

"I hope I'm not being too forward, but I enjoyed talking to you yesterday. I was hoping we could do it again," he said, glancing at her.

Skylar felt her cheeks flush. "I'd like that," she replied softly.

As they walked and talked, Skylar found herself opening up to Asher. She told him about her job, her family, and her life in general. He listened attentively, and she felt like he genuinely cared about what she had to say.

Before she knew it, they had been walking for over an hour. As they reached the end of the trail, Asher turned to Skylar.

"I had a great time talking to you today. I hope we can do it again soon," he said with a smile.

Skylar felt her heart flutter. "I'd like that too," she replied, smiling back at him.

On the other hand , there was a girl hidden behind a bruise with red hairs and piercing green eyes. She watched as Asher and Skylar said their goodbyes, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. She knew that Asher was her mate, but she couldn't shake the feeling that he was hiding something from her.

As Asher walked away with Skylar, the girl followed them discreetly, her senses heightened by the suspicion that something was not right. She smelled a wolf.

The smell of the wolf was overpowering. She knew that she couldn't confront Asher about it just yet, but she made a mental note to investigate further and find out how long the affair had been going on.

"So Asher you're cheating on me with a junk wolf? That's what we'll see!" She thought then disappeared into the shadows.

As she walked away, Skylar couldn't believe how much she enjoyed spending time with Asher. She felt like she had known him for years, even though they had only met the day before.

The next few weeks were a blur for Skylar. She and Asher started hanging out more often, going for walks in the park, watching movies, and grabbing dinner together. She felt like she had found someone who truly understood her.

One night, as they sat on Asher's couch watching a movie, Skylar noticed something strange. Asher's eyes seemed to glow in the darkness, and his teeth looked sharper than usual.

"Is everything okay?"

Asher seemed taken aback by her question. "What do you mean?"

Skylar hesitated for a moment before speaking up. "Your eyes...they're glowing. And your teeth...they look different."

Asher's expression softened as he looked at her. "Skylar, there's something I need to tell you. It's not an easy thing to say, but I think you deserve to know."

Skylar felt a knot form in her stomach. "What is it?"

Asher took a deep breath. "I'm not a werewolf, Skylar. I'm a lycan."

Skylar's eyes widened in shock. "A---A ly---lycan?"
