6. Struggle.

Luke smirked; this is something that he had noticed about Raina.

At first, she pretends to be normal and not affected by anything and then when she is cornered, she gets scared and then tries hard to hide it but once she accepts the situation that she is in, she once again becomes a fierce warrior and tries to fight back, even if she knows that she can’t fight back she won’t stop trying.

And Luke has started to like that about her, which was weird, he felt really weird that he was actually liking something about this woman.

Raina was still glaring at him and said, “I asked you something Luke, what is it that you want now? If you have nothing to say then let me go!” she tried to move but Luke tightened his grip over her shoulders and shoved her against the door more harshly making her glare at him, while he just smirked as he enjoyed her reaction, he knew that he had an advantage over her and he was enjoying using it.

“Did I ask you to move?” Luke spoke in his deep voice while tightening his grip over her.

“Well, you are not saying anything else either! What is it! Are you enjoying seeing me struggling or what!”

“Yes, I am.” Luke said, Raina froze as she looked at him and Luke said, “I am enjoying seeing you trapped between my arms and struggling to get out like a small little butterfly.”

Raina smiled bitterly, “of course, you do, of course you love my suffering and not just you even moon goddess loves to see me suffer, since she has mated me to you.”

Luke laughed, “I think moon goddess saw that just how much of a bitch you are and how evil you are and this is your karma, no need to feel bad, you are only facing the consequences of your own actions dear. Now, it’s time for your punishment.”

Raina glared at him, “What punishment? And why? I am doing your side chick’s assignment right?”

“Well, I am not talking about that, I am talking about how you ignored me when I called you and you dared to walk away” he then applied some pressure to her chin which made her tense up as she said, “what… what.. what are you planning to do!”

“I am thinking.” Luke said but instead of doing something or saying something else he just came closer to her, closer and closer till she could feel his breadth on her face. Her heart started to beat faster and she closed her eyes in anticipation.

However, before anything else can happen she felt the warmth going away and once again a coldness engulfed her.

She opened her eyes and looked at Luke who laughed, “you really thought that I was going to kiss you? My standards are not that low that I am going to touch garbage, just how desperate are you anyways? You know I am your bully, right? Pathetic.”

Raina just stood there, while Luke just laughed at her, laughed at her need for her mate, laughed at her anticipation to be touched by her mate, once again calling her a characterless hoe, and breaking her heart into a million pieces.

Unable to take the pain anymore her tears finally spilled from her eyes and she just pushed Luke away from her, opened the door and ran away from there at full speed, while Luke was left behind thinking about what had just happened.

He had lost control for a few seconds, and he knew very well that this was because of the mate bond because there was no way that he would ever want to kiss Raina, never. He hated her, and he was repulsed by her, this was just the mate bond which was making him do these stupid things.

However, no matter how much he tries to convince himself at the end of the day even he knew that, his heart ached when he saw his mate cry.

Moon goddess was really playing a cruel game with him, to be mated with someone that he hated so much, how can moon goddess do this to him, hasn’t he suffered enough all his life?

Luke sighed as he shook his head, no he is never ever going to accept Raina, he hates her and he is going to stick to his plan of hating her and making her life a living hell, he is not going to be moved by her ‘fake’ tears and her mind games, only weak men like Kevin can get into her trap but not him.

He made up his mind and took a deep breath before he walked out of the room as well.

While Raina was run with tears running down her face, she suddenly bumped into someone and stumbled back, nearly falling to the ground.

However, before she could fall down someone snaked their arm around her waist and saved her from falling down, she looked up at the person and saw that it was none other than Kevin.

She looked at him with her tear-stained face and her red eyes while Kevin just gave her a smile as he said, “Why are you always crying? Whenever I see you?”

Raina realized the shameful state in which she was, so she looked away and stood up and was about to wipe her face with her hands but before she could Kevin took out his handkerchief and gently wiped her face with it.

She was stunned for a moment because of this sudden kindness, and looked at Kevin who was gently smiling at her and carefully wiping her face.

Raina blinked and didn’t know what to say or do, as no one has ever showed her such kindness before, this was the first time someone else had wiped her tears for her and she was overwhelmed at this kindness.

However, she didn’t know that someone else was very pissed seeing her with Kevin and that someone was none other than Luke who had witnessed everything and was now glaring at Raina.
