The Accident

Firstly, she emailed the unfinished assignment to herself after taking a few sips of coffee. So that, she could finish later and then start with the documents that Glenda had given to her.

Dharna had to skip lunch to finish the mountain of the documents on time. she would remain hungry if Mary would not bring a sandwich and a cold coffee during lunchtime.

“Thank you”. Dharna spoke while munching on the sandwich and reading the documents “Why don’t you say anything to her? She’s getting worse day by day to you”. Mary complained when she sat in her cubicle which was adjacent to her cubicle.

Mary was a brunette with a small frame but very helpful to her friends and furious to others who deserved it.

Dharna Smiled at her and spoke. “I would have kicked her ass if I don’t need this job. Right now, I can't afford to lose this job”.

Mary sighed. “If you need anyone to accompany your sister in the evening in the hospital then I am free”. Then she leaned forward and spoke. “In fact, you do your work it has been days since I last met her and Lexi also wanted to meet her so bad. So, I will go there”.

Lexi was Mary’s wolf and also very fond of Ritika as well. She sees Ritika as her little sister and is heartbroken when they come to know about her illness. She would also help Dharna whenever she was short on money for her medicines and treatment.

After that, she started to do her own work. Dharna smiled at her loving gesture for Ritika and got back to her work to finish it before evening.

However, by the time, she had finished, it was already 8 o'clock, and the office was vacant as everyone had gone to their houses and Ritika had already gone to the hospital to stay with Ritika at that evening.

Dharna arranged everything on her desk and went to Glenda’s office to put the files there as she had also gone. But the office was locked.

Therefore, Dharna had no other choice but to put them on her desk before leaving. They were not important documents anyway.

She knew when she read those files. she was very angry when Glenda made her read those files and made a report on them. But she could not do anything and let his rage come over her. She continued her work and thanks to her wolf, she was not feeling drained as every other normal human being would feel after reading continuously those files and making a report on them.

But she was tired indeed. She packed her bag and came out of the office building. She started to walk towards the bus station to catch the bus and went to the hospital.

She was halfway in crossing the road when a car suddenly collided with her and sent her body flying into the air before she fell on the concrete road and hit her head on the road.

Her wolf could easily heel her and her wounds were heeled as well. But she felt her energy drained.

‘Ritika’. She recalled her sister’s name before closing her eyes.

But before that, she happened to see the car had stopped which hit her and a pair of long slender legs wrapped in black pent came out of it and stopped in front of her.

She felt calmed in his fragrance and closed her eyes, trusting this stranger, and gave in to the darkness.
