Galina was making herself some dinner when she suddenly heard a knock on the door. She took off her apron and lowered the heat of the stew before walking to answer the door. She was shocked when she opened it to find none other than her best friend, Anastasia standing there with a gloomy face and a small suitcase besides her.
“Can I come in?” She forced a small smile and Galina nodded, reaching out her arms to bring her inside the house before closing it again. She speed walked to the kitchen and turned off the stove before walking back to the living room with a tray filled with two cups of tea for the two of them.
“So, do you mind telling me what’s going on?” she asked with a concerned look on her face. She did not know since when Anastasia made it a habit to come visit her without prior informing but Galina was not

Unable to stand the uncomfortable combination any longer she slowly fluttered her eyes open and was immediately surprised when she saw Anton sitting on a chair right across her.She reflexively sat up from the bed only to find out that she was no longer in Galina’s bedroom, instead, when she looked around her she realized that she was inside of a private jet. She knew it was a private jet because she had been in one before. The jet had a built in bedroom inside which meant it probably belonged to Anton or one of his oligarch friend. It did not take her long to understand the situation. She pulled the blanket away and thank heaven she was still wearing the same pajamas she

Grigory had no idea what could he possibly want with him but he opened up the door and Alexander immediately apologized for the early disturbance.“What is it that you want from me at this hour?” Initially he thought the reasoning was going to be petty but when he re-examined the look on his face, he figured out that it had to be something serious. The man looked like he had just seen a ghost or something of the sort, it was quite rare for someon

He chose to go with the presidential suite which offered the best luxury services during their stay. She thought it might be because she was coming with him that he settled with the best but she forgot that Anton himself had always accepted only the best things.Their private butler helped to carry their luggage and once they were settled in, he left until they needed him. At the end it was just Anton and Ana. Anton had to do some business when he was in there but he had planned a schedule for the two of them beforehand. Anton knew Ana was not much of a nature person, he himself also preferred to stay away from any activities that had higher chance of killing him like hiking or exploring the caves or volcano, thus he settled
"Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen."-Ralph Waldo Emerson-***Alexander was beyond agitated that night, sitting in his bedroom alone he was unable to sleep at all. He contemplated whether or not he should take one or two of his sleeping pills he always had in his drawer for emergency cases, but at the same time he knew fooling his body that way would not bring him peace. He kept on tossing his body around like a fool, unable to even close his eyes without imagining the worst thing happening to her. Even throughout the day he felt unsettled, like a heavy burden was placed upon his chest and he was forced to carry it without reason. Usually Alexander is a composed man with rational nature, but none of his brilliance or rationality could help him at the moment. He knew he needed to do something to ease himself, but he had to go to the root of the problem. It was Ana’s safety. In his years of w

His brothers both had gone to one before, it was going to be her first time going there and she was quite excited, although she was not showing it directly. They had decided to go on a geothermal helicopter tour, it was all his idea, she was a bit afraid if she was to be honest but then again he had booked in and they were already there. She had no choice but to get in the chopper. The whole time Anton was waiting behind her so she could get in first, once everyone was in, they took off and she subconsciously held on tightly to Anton’s hand. She did not know why she did it but at that moment she did not want to le
"Things are never quite as scary when you have a best friend."-Bill Watterson-***The men stared at each other in silence as they were seated across each other inside the jet. One of them was busy reading a book on finances, the other was staring out the window in silent agitation as he crossed his legs and leaned his fingers against the temple of his forehead. One of them was calm, the other could not stay calm despite his usual calm demeanor. It was starting to bother the other man so much he had to eventually break the silence.“What are you so worried about, Alexander? Don’t you know that being panicked does not help in any circumstance? You taught me that a long time ago, buddy.” Alexander removed his gaze from the window to his old friend, Sergey.“I know that much but this time it is different. I cannot seem to relax whenever she’s not with me it’s strange. Sometimes I wonder if
"You save your soul by saving someone else's body."-Arthur Hertzberg-***Ana was sitting in the balcony of her hotel when she suddenly heard a knock on the door. She thought it was just Anton who had returned from his business there. They had taken the day off since Anton needed to manage his business for the day. After all they did not just come there for vacation. For the day she just planned on staying at the hotel and exploring the nearby shopping centers but it would all change very soon. She placed her tea mug on the table and went to pick up the door, only to be surprised by the man behind it. There stood Alexander, looking all proper in his guard attire. A huge relief washed over her as she hugged him. Her body felt warmth against his skin, Alexander hugged her back and caressed her hair gently. How he had missed her, of course, he would not admit it just yet, at least not in public, but he did miss her so much. He knew
"No one can be good for long if goodness is not in demand."-Bertolt Brecht-***It was evening and the sky had turned into the twilight shade, Anton had just returned back from his business deal when he walked into an empty room with anxiety running through his skin. He had had a feeling that something was terribly wrong, when working he had this gut feeling which told him he needed to go back as soon as possible, which he followed. He ended the meeting much earlier than scheduled that day and immediately drove his car back to the hotel. Turned out his instinct was right.Anastasia was no longer there, she disappeared and he knew she was not just talking some walk to get fresh air or something because all of her belongings were gone. She had left the clothes he had provided and only brought the items she initially had in her bag. He could have sworn he nearly gone mad, but he was not the kind of man who would throw things whenev
