CHAPTER 25

There was a minute of awkward silence followed by a loud shriek coming from Bridgette which startled the stewardess and the pilot.

Bridgette’s face was buried in her hands as the stewardess approached them. She looked confused and worried. She glanced at Terrence first where she found it odd to see that his face was as red as a tomato while staring at the screaming lady in front of her.

“Ma’am. Are you okay? What happened? Mr. Evans, what happened here? Are both of you okay?”

Terrence cleared his throat first. “I’ll just go to the loo,” he said and quickly rushed into the restroom. When Bridgette felt that Terrence was not in the cabin anymore, she put her hands down and faced the stewardess.

“Hi. I’m okay. I’m so sorry for that. I just saw a snake,” Bridgette tried to formulate a lie but the image of Terrence’s bulge appeared in her head again calling it a snake.
