It’s been two days since our dinner with Byanca and Breayna, and the rest of them. Yes, what a surprise when we learned that they were the bosses of their family. Kane and Marcus are over, and he, Darryn, and I are discussing the next step. Kaycie walks in, and we all go quiet. Darryn has not told her about his family being mafia. We don’t want to scare her, especially with her ex being let out of jail. That jackass will be dealt with. The three of us stare at her. She just rolls her eyes and walks into the kitchen. “You three realize that when you go quiet it means you’re up to something,” She says.
