I'm no sissy

Kon got ready for the meeting. He wore dark blue jeans, which he paired with a loose black polo Osy got for him.

He gelled his hair to the side and put on his sunglasses before he turned to check his reflection in the mirror.

"Mom, I want to go with you," Toto whined. She had been going at it since the moment Kon started dressing for the outing he had with the devil. Not that he knew where they were going.

"No, that won't do, Toto. Your father said it's an important meeting. I don't think children are allowed." He squatted in front of her.

"I'm not a kid any more. I'm eleven! And soon I will become a teenager." She folded her arms and turned her mouth up in a frown.

"But that doesn't mean you are not my kid." He touched her hair. "You are my favourite, Toto. And you know I will take you anywhere I go. But now, I don't think it's a good idea to take you with us. Stay back here and have a good time with your aunt."

"No, I want to go with you." She folded her arms. "My aunt is boring. I wish to go with you."

"Have you done your assignments? The teachers might scold you if you don't do that. And when that happens, they will call your daddy over.

"You know what happened the last time they called your daddy over?" Kon raised a brow at her.

"He spanked me!" Toto pouted. "I don't want him to spank me no more!"

"Then, you need to write your assignments." Kon playfully pinched her cheeks. "When I return, I will play with you as much as you want."

"Promise?" She perked up at his words.

"Yes." He raised his pinky. "I promise," he joined his pinky with hers. "I will take you to get some ice cream. You will love that, won't you?" He raised a brow.

"Of course!" She ran towards the door. "Have a nice time with Daddy!" she yelled before she banged the door behind her and raced down the stairs to meet her aunt.

"It wasn't so difficult to bribe her, was it?" He smirked.

He checked his appearance once more before he exited his room and climbed down the stairs.

"You look....."

"Manly? Thank you very much," Kon cut Melina's words because he knew she was about to say 'cute.'

Melina rolled her eyes at his words. "You can think whatever you want. We all know I only believe what I want to." She turned to Toto, who was sorting through her books. "Your mum is leaving. Won't you join him?" She folded her arms and watched her to see her reaction.

"I know." She didn't raise her head to look at him. "Mum said he's going to take me out. I will wait until then." She brought out the first workbook. "Aunt Melina, can you please help me with this?" she cutely grinned.

"Of course, I will, darling." Melina turned towards her while Kon stood there, watching them.

And he would have stayed there had it not been for Scorpion,  who came to call him out.

Kon took a deep breath as his gaze took in the men seated around them. He was currently sitting on Osy's thighs, but he felt as if he was dipped into a hot cauldron of oil from the stares he was getting from all the men around them.

"Why did you bring a newbie to this meeting?" One of the men asked, with a glare narrowed at Kon.

"Why won't I do that? Who I bring is none of your business. If you have a problem with that, you can leave." Osy placed his gun on a table in front of him and relaxed in his chair.

Unlike him, Kon wanted to run out of there. The smell of alcohol reminded him of the time he worked at the bar. However, that wasn't what made him uncomfortable. It was the smell of smoke.

Three of the men on the right, whose bodies were covered in tattoos that seemed like clothes, were smoking. The scent made Kon uncomfortable, yet he could not voice his displeasure. There was no doubt that all the men in the room had a gun on them.

Any mistake on his part might earn him a gunshot to his forehead. Though the devil was with him, before he could react, there was a possibility that he might be dead.

"This isn't supposed to be." The man who spoke up earlier narrowed his eyes at Kon. "He's not supposed to be here."

"If you have any problem with that, the door is open. Close it as you leave," Osy said in an expressionless tone.

The man murmured under his breath but didn't leave. He sat still on his chair, with his eyes narrowed at Kon.

"Good." Osy nodded when he saw that none of the men was challenging his authority. "Now—"

"Can you quit smoking? I don't like the smell," Kon spoke up, unable to take it any more. The smoke was getting too much, the more he tried to endure it.

"What?" The three men turned to him at the same time. "What did you just say?"

"The smoke." Kon took a deep, steady breath before he pointed at the cigarette sticks in their hands. "Can you snuff those out? It's affecting me."

The men laughed at Kon's words. "And if we don't do that?" They leered.

"Then," Kon discreetly glanced around to make certain none of the men were bringing out guns, "I will snuff it out myself if you don't do that." He clenched his fists.

"I would love to see you do that." The men snickered. Their words caused the others around them to laugh.

"He's just a sissy. He can't do anything," one of the men said, and the others laughed with him, further infuriating Kon.

Osy didn't say a word. He watched Kon to see what he would do. Without a second thought, Kon rose from Osy's thighs and marched over to the smoking men.

"I'm no sissy!" He took a cigarette stick from one of the men and snuffed it out. "Do your worst."
