I woke up to bite marks all over my neck and the feeling of a warm embrace around my waist. I moved my head slightly down, only for it to be blocked by someone else’s head. Lowering my eyes, I find myself cradling Sebastian against my chest.

He was half naked and slept peacefully, like a baby. I brushed his hair with my fingers and inspected myself at the room at the far edge of the room.

I was messy, but thankfully, my clothes were still on. I inspected the mark on my neck. People will see this once I walk out of this room.

I quickly tug Sebastian in a panic.

Shit… I wasn’t even drunk or anything. But why can’t I remember if I slept with him or not?

“Sebastian, wake up!”

He groaned at me and tightened his embrace against my waist, burying his head more into the sheet.

“I said wake up..!”

“Nghhh… what?” he looked at me in a deadpanned face.

I signal him with my eyes with an expression that says it all— why the fuck is he sleeping in my room?

“Last time I checked this was my place,”

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   Rescue Mission

Sneaking into the orphanage’s backyard took a lot of time.Upon arriving in that godforsaken place, I could immediately spot the vehicles the children were talking about. It wasn’t blocking the gate now. It had been parked to the side with its whirring engine.Sebastian and I stayed behind the thickets, crouching—while the rest of his men plundered in like flooding shadows. The dilapidated house was surrounded by Noir de Costas, and we were ready to wage war to get those kids.“We should’ve come at a time when these people weren’t around,” Sebastian scolded me slowly. It was I who had barged in here after insisting on saving the children right then and there.I couldn’t wait any longer.“I don’t like sitting still and watching people die. I’ve learned from that already.”“You’ll bring all my men to their deathbeds,” he continued to scold me while reloading his .22 pistol. “I know I told you to use everything I have at your disposal, but princess— I have to admit, this is insanity.”I

“He begged me to take him with me.”Sebastian’s voice was quiet—too quiet—as he stood at the whiteboard, back to us. His hand trembled slightly as he lifted the pen, but he didn’t write a thing.Aemond and I exchanged a glance.“I told him I couldn’t. That I’d come back. That if I took even one, they’d know something was wrong.”He finally turned to us, jaw clenched, eyes darker than I’d ever seen them. “The kid just stared at me. You know what he said before I left? ‘It’s okay, mister. I’ll pretend I’m asleep so they won’t take me tonight.’ Like he’s done it before. Like he’s learned how to be invisible.”Aemond looked away.Sebastian…”“I left him there.” Sebastian dropped the pen onto the table with a loud clack. “I told him to wait.”Struggling for control, he blew out a loud breath and ran a hand over his hair. "We've verified it," he added more firmly, bringing himself back to the present. “The Hails are trafficking children through that facility. They’re all orphans—no paperwo

“Get back to the event. I’ll handle this.”Sebastian’s voice was low but decisive as he pulled a sleek, compact tool from the inner lining of his suit—a mini bolt cutter. Its matte black finish gleamed under the muted sunlight filtering through the canopy of trees. He approached the fence with calculated steps.“Wait, that might be an electric fence.”He paused, eyeing the upper lines of the fencing—taut, snaking wires that hummed faintly with potential death. Sebastian stepped closer and crouched, his sharp eyes tracing the path the young boy had taken.“Seems like he found a gap. Slipped through without touching the top. But one wrong move…” He didn’t finish. He didn’t have to.“The only sensible thing is to go through the main entrance,” I offered, though I already knew his answer.Sebastian took a pause and stared at me. His eyes lingered more than necessary. “What?” I narrowed my eyes.“You need to go back. But don’t have too much fun without me,” he said with a dry smirk, clear

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   Orphanage

The plan was simple. If I wanted the Eboncorp empire to fall into ruins, I had to start by pulling the rug from under their feet—by crushing the complacency they built their throne on. And that meant targeting the very woman who hid behind charity and gold-plated titles: Susan Hail.Eboncorp was the pride of the Hail family. But before their name shined in headlines and before their logos sat on every glass tower downtown, it was my father’s company. He raised it from ashes with his bare hands and bled to keep it alive. But the Hails? They came in like vultures—infecting everything with their greed and gutting the soul out of the company he built.Worse, when whispers of illegal activities surfaced—trafficking, bribery, money laundering—their PR machine spun fairy tales, and somehow, the Evans name was left to hold the bag. My father’s conscience shattered long before his death. But even in his casket, I could feel the weight of betrayal pressing down on his legacy. As the only daught

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   The Devil's Desire is I

“If only I had taken you sooner... albeit if you wanted it or not. Those scars wouldn't have existed.”I took a step back from him. “You'd take me no matter what?” His awful honesty was chilling. “It took a lot of self control to not have done it, princess. I resisted the urge to simply rummage your husband's mansion with bullets, until they all laid still.”God. What did I just get myself into?I knew Sebastian was a heartless, ruthless maniac. But I didn't think he'd throw his morals that easily to get what he wanted. His words made me shudder. “Why do you want me so much Sebastian?”The words immediately escaped my lips out of volition. I demanded to know what he truly thought of me. I find his reason for pampering me so badly to be out of our agreement.I saved his life that's true, but I never told him about the abuse. All of a sudden one day, Sebastian came into the clinic I was an intern in and told me that my life would be better if I would run away with him right then and n

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   A Scalding Past

Susan Hail. How can I ever forget her?I can still remember the time when she poured scalding water over me when I was asleep just because she thought I had stolen her credit card.Or the time when she dragged me in my hair across the living room, thinking I had worn her shoes, which I never did.The burns on my back were scars of the mistreatment I had endured from Damian’s older sister. And now that I have heard her name, it feels as if I’ve been burned by the same water twice. “Kierra?” Sebastian whispered at me as my mind was straying away. “I do know her.” I admitted to Aemond. “But I don’t understand... Susan may be a prick to everyone, but I’ve never fathomed she would kidnap someone!”“Me neither. I thought she was all bark and no bite. I’ve underestimated her.” Aemond placed his palms on his waist. “My father filed a lawsuit against Susan Hail after she had embezzled funds from our company for years.”“For years?!” my eyes widened. “I mean no offense, but how did you not no

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   To Destroy the Hails

The car ride was soaked in silence—thick, restless, a storm brewing behind our stillness.Less than an hour after we left, the body of Jackal was found. Panic erupted as screams reverberated through the estate’s marble corridors, followed by the screech of heels. The gathering had descended into anarchy. A scandal. A tragedy. Sebastian didn’t seem bothered. If anything, the corner of his lip had twitched upward like the whole thing amused him.Still heated from the assassination, I remained in the car, my gown velvet clinging to my thighs. Sebastian was standing outside, his black trench coat obscuring his tall figure. As he accepted a call, smoke curled around his strong jawline while he held a cigarette between his fingers. His tense, unreadable posture was all I could hear as opposed of the words. He turned toward me.I should’ve looked away. I didn’t.He caught me staring, his mouth quirking into a devilish smirk. That single expression unraveled my thoughts. I immediately turned

Selene’s stare pierced me—wide-eyed, jaw clenched. Defiance burned in her gaze, but beneath the fire, I saw it: regret. Bitter, heavy, undeniable. I wanted her to feel it every time she looked at me. To remember exactly where she stood. She had no place in the air I breathed. The silence between us stretched thin, taut like piano wire. Then she broke—eyes flicking away, spine folding as she drifted behind Damian like a coward finding her cage again. Whispers bloomed around her, toxic and unrelenting. Her name now tasted like ash in every mouth.I bent down, helping the crew she’d belittled. My message was clear—dismissal without words. It was fine when she targeted me. But dragging others into her tantrum? Unforgivable. She stood frozen, seething—dress ruined, dignity bleeding out of her. Damian and his sweet little mistress quietly exited, leaving shame in their wake. And just like that, the party moved on—without them, but not without scandal.A slow clap echoed behind me, deliberat
