BRUSCELLA APARTI BAR

“Welcome to Aparti, Mr. Gandulf.”

Davide Hail wore a light-hearted smile as one of his wealthiest clients finally arrived. Mr. Gandulf was a stout, squeaky man with meaty and sweaty hands that were either in his pockets or on another woman’s backside. And tonight, his hands were on the latter.

He shared a greedy grin as two women in sultry, exposed outfits whispered in his ear, which made him giggle a bit. He looks at Davide and signals his bodyguard to hand him a check.

“I only came here to pick up what I ask you for, Hail.”

“Of course, Mr. Gandulf.” Davide stepped aside and received the check with a big smile on his face. “Sorry for the wait.”

“You were supposed to deliver her to my house. Such inconvenience.” Mr. Gandulf complained as he retired to the couch of a V.I.P. room that Davide booked for him.

Davide shut the door behind them and continued that welcoming smile despite his dead eyes. “There was a little bit of a problem with the shipment, that’s all.”

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   Myth

“Monsignor?”Alexandrei’s eyes lifted from the cluttered case file, sharp and unyielding as one of his officers uttered the name. A name most believed to be a story—one that crept from the gutters and wrapped itself in myth.“It’s just whispers on the streets,” one of the chief deputies said, shifting uneasily in his seat. “But it’s one of the names connected to dozens of unsolved cases in the city. Syndicated crime, arms smuggling, contract killings. His name even extends to groups operating outside the state and even…”“In Sicily.”All heads turned toward Commandant Alexandrei Reyes.“You seem to have heard of him too, sir,” the deputy ventured.“The President wants his head. The UN has him on their hit list,” Alexandrei replied flatly.A younger detective leaned forward. “Is he a terrorist of some kind?”Alexandrei moved toward the large corkboard at the front of the room. A single silhouette occupied the center, a bold red question mark scrawled across where the face should be.“H

“Kierra?”I quickly shut the book off and tossed it into the box as Sebastian knocked on my door. My heart was pounding way too much for me to even hear what he had said.“Did you hear me? Are you there?”I grabbed the remote from the desk that allowed me to unlock the door, “C…Come in!”The knob unlocks and I watched as he entered the room with a smile. “May I come in, madam CEO?”I rolled my eyes at him while I gathered my composure, “Whatever, Sebastian.”He walked towards the desk and I quickly slipped the box into the safe with my boot. It makes a thud as the safe door closes.“What was that?” he raised an eyebrow.“I knocked my knees in the desk,” I pretended to carress the part. “Shall we go home?”Sebastian sat on the chair in front of me and roamed his eyes across the room, inspecting it himself. I crossed my arms. “Are you planning on designing the place?”He smirks, “Maybe I am.”“Well I hope it won’t be a ton of hidden cameras.”He walks towards the glass wall behind me.

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   The Past

I finally found peace for once.In my hours of constant battle for my rights to sit in my rightful chair, I finally caught a whiff of silence. No meetings. No arguments. Just me in my office that I fought hard for.The office was vast and elegant. Its simplicity comprised of a marble desk, a single desktop, two chairs on the side. There were no drawers, no vanities—nothing unnecessary to clutter the room.Beneath the desk was my father’s safe.I took a deep breath and shut my eyes to absorb what I had finally achieved. For years, my life had been nothing but a series of fights—lawsuits, threats, betrayals, nights where sleep never came. And now… this. Stillness.I couldn’t believe it.I’m here.I’m finally here.Sitting in the chair I was supposed to. The one stolen from me. The one people thought I’d never reclaim.I reached for the box of items that the secretary had brought in earlier. She said these were some of the things Papa left behind, retrieved from storage after all these y

“Kierra Evans! You cannot do this to us!”I listened to the constant wailing of Desmond’s relatives as they attacked me with childish insults and begging. Their voices became so irritating that I had to shut down my brain and focus my attention else so I would bore myself with their vocals.Though, I must admit, hearing them beg for me not to strip them all of their position felt like music to my ears.“Please! And you-!” one pointed to Alessio. “You’re her lawyer aren’t you? Isn’t this illegal for her to terminate us this quickly?!”I rolled my eyes. Alessio stood up and answered the lady with a smile of thorns, “It is actually legal for her to terminate all of you. You are accomplices to corruption and according to the labor code, individuals who have breached the trust and showed willful disobedience are subject to this kind of consequence.”I picked up the remote and turned on the projector, showing everyone in the board meeting the embezzled funds and to whose accounts they were

Heading back to the grounds that used to be taken away from me felt heavy.I had poured everything into this place when Papa died, even when I knew people were already starting to edge me out. I continued to build what he left behind even if my position was reduced to nothing—a mere shadow of my former title. The marble floors gleamed like the day I first stepped into Eboncorp as the founder’s daughter. But now, they echoed the sharp staccato of my heels with judgment, not welcome. My throat tightened. The moment the sliding doors of the lobby opened, time seemed to halt.Every eye landed on me.The front desk froze, lips parting slightly in shock. Some whispered. A few of them even gasped. The guards—those same men who once banned me from entry without so much as a word—stood stiff, unsure whether to salute, bow, or raise their radios in alarm.I didn’t flinch. I walked forward, chin high. My hands were steady by my sides, even as the pulse in my wrist raced against my veins.Beside

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   Show Off

It was already the dead of night before I came home. The mansion’s gates were still guarded, and I had to bribe the gang members to even let me in. The lights of the mansion were all shut off, leaving the entire structure, even the gardens, engulfed in total darkness.I arrive on the doorsteps, fumbling to get my copy of the keys that Sebastian had given me many nights before. I push the key into the hole, twist and quickly sneaked inside. The sound of the creaking door immediately echoed through the large halls. I head in, trying to keep as much noise as possible. As I neared the living room, the lamp suddenly lights up, illuminating the entire marbled floors. The light blinded me for a while and I see Sebastian on the couch, his knees crossed. His eyes glowed a menacing shade of blue.“You’re late.”“H-Hey, Seb.” I stuttered to greet him back. “You’re still awake.”He raised an eyebrow and stood up, his shadow casting over the walls as he towered me, “Of course I’d be awake. You we
