CHAPTER 41

Getting in the dining hall, my eyes drifted over to the head chair. I hadn't seen him after our awkward conversation. I was still trying to contemplate it. He should explain more to me. The head chair was empty. I slanted my eyes around. I could only see guards. Where were all?

I peered over my shoulder. Assassin and Rocky were staring ahead, giving no expression.

"Where are all the boys?" I asked them, arching my brows.

There was no sign of irritation on Rocky's face, not even a deep snort which he usually threw my way after calling him boy. Assassin didn't pass his small smile.

"They'll be home soon. It's your breakfast time." Assassin waved his hand at one of the guards.

I turned in my seat to look ahead in the kitchen, who hurried to bring my food. "Where's my husband?" I asked. I had a nagging feeling, my heart pounded in my ears everytime I recalled my fear. He always left me amazed, wondering in shock. There was somethin
