CHAPTER 42

I took deep breaths, trying to shove off the nerves in my stomach. I opened my mouth. But new forming tears clogged my throat.

"Lock your door, Evie and pack your stuff. You need to go somewhere safe." He whispered in my ears before removing his arm.

I turned to look at him. I embraced him and began to sob softly. "Where's he? I can't endure this man. He calls me Eve and tries to touch me. I'm not feeling safe, Tom. We're on our own. We have to find him." My voice cracked.

" Evie," He shook his head. I drew myself back. He looked at me. "We don't have much time."

"Mini?" He could blackmail us.

"They're safe. No one knows where she and your families are. Now hurry up." Tom motioned at Rocky and Assassin. "Nothing should happen to her. If I don't come within ten minutes, you know what to do."

They nodded their heads immediately.

"You have a big responsibility, Evie. I wouldn't have said it if…." Tom exited the room, closing
