Vincent's pov

Tuesday 22nd June 2021

"Please be safe," Damian says to me before I get into the car to go to Leonardo's mansion.

"I will mi amore. I will see you for tea," I say and kiss him goodbye. I smile at him as I pull the car out of the driveway. The drive for me is tense because I know this could go wrong but I need to stay positive.

I get to Leonardo's mansion and go inside where everyone is already waiting for me.

"Always late," Luca laughs and I rolls my eyes.

"I'm not even that late! Like ten minutes!" I argue.

"That's late for this mission!" Luca teases. Emilio tells us to stop bickering and Leo shows us his laptop where he has the plan. I make sure I know everything that is going on.

"Vincent you are in charge of your team which is your family," Leo starts. "I am in charge of one team while my second in command will lead another."

"That is good. We can do this," I say and Luca nods.

"I'm so nervous," Giovanni admits.

"It will be okay,"

    Vincent's pov Tuesday 30th June 2026*****************************Four years ago today, Lorenzo passed away. His parents moved to Italy for good but Giovanni stayed and helped me take back the business. Turns out Gio is stronger than us all and makes an amazing second in command. Enzo is missed everyday, but life has to go on. A lot has changed. George's funeral happened a couple of days after Enzo's. He was buried right next to Enzo with a matching headstone.     Vincent's pov Monday 4th July 2022******************************It's Enzo's funeral today. Everyone is a mess. Giovanni refused to leave his room all weekend, we had to bring him something to eat and drink but he wouldn't touch them. Thankfully Martina and Stefano flew back from Italy yesterday and got Gio to eat something. Having his parents here has really helped Gio deal with his grief. Stefano apologised to me because he couldn't apologise to Enzo for being so homophobic. We've forgiven him because Enzo would have, he loved his papà. I'm stood at the alter now with Marcus by my side as we wait for Vinny to be walked down the isle.
