Chapter Twenty-one

Vanessa’s pov :

I woke up to sound of knocking on the door, I turned on the bed and winched when my back touched the bed roughly, I opened my eyes slowly and saw Rose was no longer in bed with me.

‘Knock knock’ I heard the door sound.

I groaned as I stood up feeling the pains on my back, it wasn’t like last night, it reduced a bit ‘maybe because of the pain relief medication’ I thought inwardly.

I opened the door slowly and peeked to see who it was. And I saw a young girl with a tray of food in her hand.

“May I come in?” She asked me politely.

I nodded my head and opened the door for her,she came in and place the food tray on the table.

After placing them careful, she dropped medicines also and she turned her back to leave when she spoke, “ Ma Rose asked me to bring them to you, she said made sure you take your drugs and she would be with you soon.”
