So this was what fear felt like. The feeling was strong and it crippled me as a voice kept chanting in my head.

I was hopeless, trapped and I had no idea what awaited me in the hands of this twisted man.

“Rest now, you'll need it” He said simply as he rose up, adjusting the sleeves of his black shirt.

I didn't say anything in return before he left the room. What could I possibly have said? He already made it clear that my begging was futile. He was an emotionless monster and I was his captive.

I curled up in bed that night, looking out the window as I stared up at the sky—hoping, praying that Nicolas would find me somehow. He was my only chance at leaving this place. Afterall, he was a police detective.

When morning came, there was a knock on my door. I decided to ignore it at first till I heard a maid's voice.

“Miss, I've brought your breakfast up for you”

“I'm not hungry,” I answered.

The maid was quiet for a moment before she spoke through the door again.

“Miss, Mr Garcia gave orders for you to have your meals timely… I can't take it back”

I got out of bed and opened the door. I was a bit shocked to see just how young the maid looked. She was about my age, if not younger.

What kind of man stole young girls to enslave them in such despicable ways?

“I'm not going to be eating anything, so you don't have to bother bringing lunch or dinner either. Thank you”

Before she could protest again, I closed the door gently.

Enzo couldn't have his way with me if I died from starvation.

I had nothing to do in the room except watch the clock. My phone was gone and the room didn't have a TV. I refused to leave the room. If Enzo wanted to keep me prisoner, he could but I would make it hell for him too.

Sometime before dinner, I heard another knock on the door.

“I already said I'm not hungry!” I yelled back

The knock came again and I ignored it, facing the other side. The next thing I heard was the sound of keys in the door before Enzo burst in.

And he did not look happy.

“So it's true. You're trying to starve yourself to death?”

“I-I'm just not hungry.” I whispered, avoiding his fiery gaze.

“I don't give a fuck if you're hungry or not Bella, you will eat your food whenever it is brought to you.”

This was the second time he was calling me that.

“My name isn't Bella.”

“It is now.”

He turned to the door, that was when I noticed the maid standing there with a tray of food.

She came in and placed it on the bed next to me before she walked out, closing the door as she went.

Enzo stood, towering over me, his gaze hard and fixed on my face.

“Eat,” he commanded.

I looked at the food, ignoring the grumbling in my tummy.

“I'm not hungry”

“First rule, Bella. When I say jump, you jump. I do not repeat myself. Eat. Your. Fucking. Food” His voice was icy, it froze me in place yet I was more scared of what he'd do if I refused again.

With shaky hands, I picked up my cutlery, putting little pieces of food in my mouth as he watched me.

“All of it. Every last piece.”

I felt all the emotions rising to the surface. I was just a new toy for this man. An object, he could to me whatever he liked. A tear fell from my eyes, then another and another till it was a stream rolling down my face.

My silent sobs did nothing to him as he continued to watch me eat coldly. When he was satisfied, he pulled me to my feet.

“Come” He said. I followed as we walked out of the room.

“W-where are we going?”

He didn't answer, instead he kept walking till we reached a room. He opened it and we walked in.

The room was dark till he flicked on the lights and I quickly realised what it was for.

The space was dimly lit and the air, thick with the scent of leather, spice. I saw all kinds of sinful contraptions. Black iron chains dangling from the walls, long poles and cabinets which probably held worse things. In the centre of the room was a massive bed draped in red silk.

“What is this? W-why are we here?”

Enzo pulled me further into the room, ignoring my question as he strapped me up against the wall.

“What are you doing? Let me go… stop!”

He cuffed my hand and my legs then stepped back to fully take in the picture.

“You were disobedient. I did warn you.” He said as he reached into one of the drawers and pulled out something that resembled a whip.

“Are you… Going t–to use that on me?” I asked, my breathing was erratic.

“In this room, I'm in complete control. And your surrender is inevitable.”

“I'm sorry, I won't starve myself anymore. Please just let me go… I'm begging you.” I struggled against my restraints but it was useless.

Enzo approached me like a lion, stalking its prey. I was still wearing my sundress from the previous day. In one swift motion, he had the dress cut up with a pair of scissors I didn't even know he'd been holding, leaving me in my underwear.

I closed my eyes, since I couldn't try to hide my body from him.

His hot breath feathered the skin by my ear. “You raised your hand to me…”

I felt a smack on my right thigh. It was so quick and sudden and it definitely stung a bit.

“You actually dared to slap me, Enzo Garcia”

There was another smack, and then another.

“Aah! Please, stop”

He grabbed my face. “Open your eyes”

I did, meeting his gaze.

“You've been a very bad girl” he whispered, as I felt the whip being trailed up my skin. He paused between my legs and I felt an unnatural heat building up before he continued to go up, his eyes never leaving mine. “You know what happens to bad girls? They're punished.”

With that, he brought the whip down on my chest and I let out another groan of pain.

Enzo looked like the embodiment of the devil himself as he stared down at the man who was already shaking like a leaf.“E-Enzo… I didn't know she's y-yours… I'm sorry”“I don't like apologies, Ricardo. You crossed a line.”“I'm sorry! I really didn't know… she didn't say anything.”Enzo smiled a smile that sent shivers through my body.“You know what? You're right. You didn't know, mistakes happen.”The man looked visibly relaxed as Enzo lowered his gun. That was until Enzo’s men picked him up and held out both his hands on the ground.“The thing is, I promised that the next person who would lay a finger on her wouldn’t have hands anymore…”The man stared up at Enzo in horror.“Also, I don't forgive mistakes” He said coldly, before he fired two shots and I looked away as a scream was ripped from my throat. Not again, not again. I didn't see Enzo the rest of the week. And honestly, I didn't want to, not after that night in his torture room. I still had a few bruises to show for it.I couldn't bear to stay in this cold mansion much longer. I had to escape or at least try.I heard a knock on my door, which startled me a bit. But it was probably just the maid bringing my lunch. That's all I did anyway, eat, even when I had very little appetite.“Come in.” I saidWhen the door opened, it wasn't the maid, but someone else. She was the girl I'd seen the first night Enzo brought me here but I couldn't remember her name.“Why, hello there… we haven't had the pleasure of a proper introduction” She spoke. “I'm Sabrina.” She gave me a sickly sweet smile that made me feel strangely uneasy. She sat on the bed next to me, her eyes fixed on me like she was waiting for me to speak back.“I'm Olivia.”“Bella, you mean.” I ignored the use of that name. Her eyes fell to my wrists which were still marked from Enzo’s bindings.“I

The men led me outside to a black SUV and as they forced me inside, I managed to bite one of them, and I bit him hard till I could taste his coppery blood in my mouth. I wouldn't let them take me so easily.“You bitch!” The man groaned and then he slapped me across my face, so hard black spots formed in my vision.“You behave or I can put you in a world of pain little girl.” The man spat out with a scary look in his eyes.I didn't want to die. Not yet, not when I still had so much to do.I stayed silent as I was pushed into the car and we drove off. The men had made sure to blindfold me so I couldn't see, I could only hear. After what seemed like an hour on the road, the car stopped. My hopes for a police checkpoint during the drive had been in vain. I was now fully at the mercy of these men.The door opened and everywhere went quiet before the blindfold was taken off me. I blinked a few times trying to adjust again. When I looked up, I saw another man, no, not just any man.It was th

  • The Mafia King’s Captive    Chapter 1

After a long day at work, all I needed was to be cuddled in my boyfriend's arms. What I didn't need was to be annoyed by a rude man.I'd stopped to fetch pastries on my way to Nicolas' and was walking out of our favorite coffee shop when suddenly, someone bumped into me. He quite literally came out of nowhere. The bag of donuts fell to the floor and the man I'd bumped into didn't even seem phased. He simply walked over them to go in. That pissed me off. I'd taken out what would probably be the only amount I could spare this month from my salary to buy those pastries for Nicolas and this man just walked over them like it was nothing.Did people lack common decency now?“Excuse me. You just ruined my pastries, I think you owe me an apology.”The man suddenly turned around, my breath caught for a moment as I subconsciously took in his unrealistically striking features. But that didn't matter considering how rude he had just been to me.“I owe you an apology?” He said with a dead expressi
