Connor stood there, completely lost in thoughts as he stared at Russo and the unconscious Annah. He couldn't believe that it was his actions that had brought her to this point and he was battered within him because he knew he caused this. If he had just stuck to questioning her and not killing anyone before her, none of this would have happened.

''I'm a fool.'' he whispered.

''A big one at that.'' Russo added.

Connor wasn't angry over what he said because he knew he deserved every hit and insults. As Russo tried to stabilize her, Connor walked backwards before sitting on a chair that faced the table.

''In my line of work son, I've come to learn that there are some people who can not take a certain amount of trauma which just brings me to the question, what do you really want from her?'' he asked.
