Anastasia:

I smiled at mum who entered the house by my side “welcome home, love”

“It feels good to be home” she said tightening her grip on my hand making me smile.

She was surprised when I called her to come and pick her up. Elijah’s words were still fresh in my mind for the next ten days as I debated on whether or not to bring her back home.

She looked around the living room, smiling at the sight of her neat house. I had to get it cleaned as to ensure that no stains were left here or there after Elijah and I’s random selections of time or place, and though I do clean up; one could never be too sure.

The nurses walked inside with their suitcases. I still needed their help to ensure that mum was okay, and judging by the fact that I knew that her health was deteriorating; I couldn’t risk anything happening to her while I wasn’t around or she was alone. The two nurses being by her side was good enough for me.
