Chapter 35

Anastasia:

The door was knocked snapping me out of my daze.

“Come in” I called sitting up on Elijah’s bed to be surprised that he walked inside carrying a tray of food “you just knocked the door to come inside your own room?”

“You could have wanted your privacy, and whether or not it’s my room; you’re still inside” Elijah said placing the tray on the bedside table. I’ve been here for the past three days, and I’ve barely managed to move out of this bed unless it is to go to the bathroom.

“Elijah, I’m not hungry…”

“I know, but your body needs nutrition. I know you’re in pain, but I don’t want you collapsing” Elijah said gently “just a bite or two would be okay, yeah? You’re drinking water, and I think for now, your body would be able to handle it without a full meal”

I looked down at my lap, my hands were placed on my lap in front of me. Elijah stayed quiet, allowing me the time to process things, and despite the pain, I knew that what I was doing was unhealthy for me “I left you…”
