Chapter 8 - His Family

"He is Rudra, maternal cousin of Jai! He is the one who took you to the hospital!" Piya introduced Rudra to Neha while she was busy checking him out and he was feeling uncomfortable as he could feel her gaze on him.

"Also because of him, I am in this condition!" Neha mocked him with a bright smile, trying to get an apology from him to see if he is really a good person or just another random rich brat!

"I am sorry, I will pay your bills as an apology!" Rudra politely told her while she was feeling annoyed as he wasn't looking at her.

"Are you married?" Neha asked out of the blue and Piya facepalmed because of her friend's stupidity.

"No, why do you ask?" Rudra asked, after clearing his dry throat because of her weird talks.

"Great." Neha smiled brightly and she started laughing like a mad woman.

"Piya, I should leave. Take care of your friend!" Rudra couldn't help himself but say that as he can't stay there even one more second.

"Thanks." Piya told him, sighing in relief in her mind as she needs to handle Neha's stupidity first.

As soon as Rudra left Piya roared at Neha.

"Are you for real? You made him so uncomfortable with your words. Think twice before opening your mouth." Piya scolded her and Neha shook her head, taking a deep sigh.

"Dude, I was testing him. I was trying to see if he really is an Innocent type of person or a hidden beast. He didn't even look at me for a second like he would sin if he looked at me and he looked so shy and uncomfortable with my words!" Neha pointed out the things she noticed in him.

"See, I told you. He is not what you think, you are misunderstanding him!" Piya repeated her words for the last time and Neha shook her head disagreeing.

"I am still not a hundred percent sure. Let's follow the plan more deeply." Neha told her and Piya knew they might fall into deep trouble because of her stubbornness.

Neha told her the plan and Piya understood that it wasn't a good idea as it has a chance of taking Rudra's innocence away but she won't be able to stop her, seeing her so determined.

"Quickly take a fake report from the doctor and talk to Jai but don't tell him about our plan as I know he will never support us in this thing so just do according to the plan!" Neha instructed her and she nodded her head like a small kid, listening to her teacher.

Let's see, why are you wearing the mask of innocence, Mr Rudra? Neha thought, smirking.

Next Day

Rudra woke up from his sleep which only lasted 3 hours! It was 5 a.m. and he got ready in his gym clothes to do the workout.

He is very serious about the matter of fitness so every day he does workout for two hours without any break in his gym, which is beside his bedroom. After he was done with the workout, he came back to his bedroom to have a refreshing shower.

After showering, he got dressed up in a black suit as usual. His walk-in closet was filled with only dark colour suits.

After all, he was obsessed with darkness so everything about him is dark only! He went downstairs to have breakfast and sat down on his throne.

As usual, no one was there for breakfast, while he was a punctual person and every day he expected at least one member of his so-called family would be on time to have breakfast but every day they disappointed him.

"Sir, your breakfast is ready? Should I serve?" The butler asked, breaking his thoughts and he hummed in response.

He heard the sounds of shoes coming towards him and he didn't need to think twice about who it was!

"Rudra, how is business going on?" The person sat beside him and he was none other than his father Ashish Singh Rathore!

"You already know the answer to how it's going!" He said, maintaining his calm posture.

"BTW, I heard Rathore Enterprises is losing shares and isn't going so well!" Rudra said normally but it did sound like he was mocking him!

Well, Rathore Enterprises is Ashish's company and it is run by Ashish and Rudra's stepbrother Atharv! After Rudra's mother Shweta died, it didn't take much time for his father to move on and get married again to another woman and because of this Rudra started hating him and created distance between him and Ashish.

"Yeah, about that! I needed help from you!" Ashish said to him and Rudra already knew he came to talk with him for his own selfish motives or why would he talk to him after six months when they stay in the same house?

"And why should I help you?" Rudra asked coldly.

"Because I am your father and I need help from you or the company will go bankrupt!" Ashish said in a pleading tone which was all fake.

"Ask your overconfident son to do something beneficial for the company rather than asking for help from me! Didn't he say he is mature enough to handle business? Isn't he smarter than me?" Rudra said taunting Atharv and he still remembers their argument when his father decided that he will give the family business to Atharv because his so-called second wife said so as she thinks, Atharv is the right person for handling the family business!

"Dad, I told you not to ask for help from this person!" Atharv said coming towards them while glaring daggers at Rudra who sat calmly ignoring his shitty talks!

"And who the hell are you to decide how I should handle the business? It's my business, so stay out of it! I will do whatever I want to do and I will take the company to the top!" Atharv said arrogantly and Rudra couldn't help but chuckle at the last line.

"Congratulations in advance! Keep up with that attitude, I don't know about the top but the way you are going, it will definitely be a flop!" Rudra said with a blank face and his words made Atharv more furious.

"Rudra, is this how you talk to your younger brother? He needs your help and you are mocking him!" Ashish scolded Rudra when he should do this with Atharv instead!

"Why do you all remember this family relation only when you guys need help?" Rudra asked, making him speechless and he stood up from his throne and went away without having breakfast.

"Rudra, just wait and watch. When the time will be in my favour then I will show you what I can do! I will snatch everything from you and you will be left with nothing!" Atharv said, determining his mind, and looking at his retreating back.
