Mia’s POV

Nervously I stepped out of the car right after Henry and my mouth dropped open in shock on seeing the luxurious mansion before me.

The mansion was a magnificent masterpiece of architecture and design, situated on a sprawling estate of lush greenery and manicured gardens. The grand entrance was marked by a sweeping driveway lined with tall trees and a fountain in the center. I couldn't believe that I was actually here, Never have I dreamed of ever stepping my feet on such luxury.

“Mia! Follow me” Henry ordered, snapping me back to my senses.

What was I thinking admiring the home of my new master! There was so much to worry about! So much in stuck for me… things that weren’t pleasant. I couldn’t let myself lose focus now, even for a second.

I take slow steps, silently following him while I let my eyes roam around my surroundings searching for any means of escape.

“Don’t even consider escaping. You wouldn’t get far” Henry warned, glaring at me coldly.

The new scary countenance he switched to and the threat under his tune made me shiver in fright. I could give anything to not be here right this moment.

I stood right behind Henry who was in front of the large door and waited nervously for whoever was going to answer the door after he clicked the doorbell. My palms were sweaty and musty and I couldn’t calm down my heart which was furiously pounding inside my chest.

Finally, the door creaked open, revealing a tall, imposing figure. My breath caught in my throat as I took in the sight of the man before me. He was dressed in a finely tailored suit, fitting his well built body. His dark hair slicked back and his face set in a stern expression.

He was the definition of god like male figure. He’s eyes! They were piercing blue, like the depths of the ocean on a clear day. They seemed to bore into my very soul, making me feel vulnerable and exposed. For a moment, I was too stunned to move, frozen by his captivating appearance.

One thing was for sure- he wasn’t any thing like Henry.

And he definitely wasn’t old. Maybe somewhere in his late twenties or early thirties.

"Henry. Fancy seeing you here" the man said, his voice deep and commanding. I felt a part of me melt on hearing his intoxicating voice.

"And who is this?" He turned his gaze to me, his eyes piercing and cold.

"This is Mia," Henry replied.

The man who I assumed to be Marco scrutinized my every being. He steps back and made way for us to come inside. Henry’s warning glare was enough for me to start moving, still keeping my mouth shut all this while.

I stood just beside the door cluelessly and allowed my gaze to follow the two men as they took their seats uncaring of my presence here. It was like they had forgotten about me already.

“I thought I made it clear to you that I rather not see you. Yes I agreed to ignore your mis conduct and kept you in the gang but that doesn’t mean I would accept you inside my home if you decide to randomly show up uninvited” Marco said harshly, the anger in his eyes undeniable.

Mis-conduct?

His Gang?

Who exactly was this guy?

I couldn't help but feel curious and fearful at the same time. Who was Marcoand what kind of gang was he talking about? My mind was racing with questions, but I knew better than to speak out of turn. I remained silent, observing the two men as they spoke in hushed tones.

"I understand your concerns, Marco. But I have a proposition for you," Henry said, his tone calm and collected.

"I'm listening," Marco replied, his eyes never leaving Henry.

Henry leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Marco. "I need your help with a job. A big job. And I know you're the only one who can pull it off."

Marco raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "What kind of job?"

"A heist," Henry said, his voice low and urgent. "A high-stakes robbery of a wealthy businessman's mansion. We need your expertise and your connections to make it happen."

Marco leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing as he considered Henry's proposal. "And what's in it for me?" he asked, his voice cool and calculating.

Henry leaned back as well, a small smirk playing on his lips. "A cut of the profits, of course. And the satisfaction of pulling off the biggest heist this city has ever seen."

Marco seemed to mull over the offer for a few moments before nodding slowly. "Alright. I'm in. But I'll need more details

Henry grinned, clearly pleased with Marco's agreement.

"Excellent. I knew you’d agree so I brought a gift with me” he said with a smirk and looked my way.

I knew things were about to go downhill right this moment.

My heart sank as Henry's eyes locked onto mine. I had a feeling that I was about to become a pawn in their game. Marcoturned his gaze towards me once again, his eyes cold and calculating.

“And what does she have to do with this?" he asked, his voice sharp.

“Nothing important I suppose. She is just my thank you gift to you. I’m aware you already have a lot of women at your beck and call, women dying to please you. But the moment I saw her - Mia, I knew you would be interested in this pure damsel” Henry said with a smirk.

My heart sank as I heard Henry's words. I felt sick to my stomach, but I knew better than to speak out of turn. I remained silent, my eyes downcast as I tried to make myself as small as possible. Marco's eyes flicked over to me, his gaze cold and assessing.

"I don't need any more women, Henry," he said, his voice sharp.

Henry chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Come on, Marco. Don't be so uptight. She's just a little gift. You can do whatever you want with her."

I felt my cheeks burn with shame and anger. How dare they treat me like some object to be traded and used? I wanted to scream at them, to tell them that I was a human being with thoughts and feelings, not some toy to be passed around. But I knew that it would only make things worse for me. So I kept my mouth shut, my eyes still downcast.

The room fell silent but I could still feel the burning gaze of Marco me and I couldn’t help but squirm where I stood.

“Come here” he finally spoke up.
