3. Lie.

"You can sleep on the bed." Ariadne said.

"And where will you sleep?" the man asked.

"I will take the couch in the living room."

"But you have already done so much for me, let me take the couch, it will be alright."

Ariadne shook her head, "No, please you are injured and you are a patient. You need it more than I do."

"But this is your house and you must be tired."

Ariadne closed her eyes, "you really love to argue, right? Leon?"

Leon had no idea why, but when he heard his name from her mouth in her sweet voice he suddenly smiled, "yeah maybe."

And his smile was really very contagious as when Ariadne saw him smiling she smiled as well, "okay I will give you a better reason then. The bedsheets have blood stains and I don't want to sleep over blood.

I will change the bedsheet tomorrow so for today just sleep on the bed."

Leon smiled, "wow you are really good at talking."

"Of course, I am a woman and you can never win against a woman, didn't anyone tell you that?"

Leon sighed and gave up on arguing with her.

~~~
It was late at night and Leon was not asleep. He was lying awake on his bed staring at the ceiling, thinking of a way to contact his men and get out of here.
He had to go back home soon and teach the person who dared to betray him a good lesson.
Leon sighed and turned on the bed and from the half-open door, he can see Ariadne sleeping on the couch.
His eyes got fixed on her peaceful sleeping face and all his thoughts about going back and contacting his men just flushed down the drain.
Aridane was a truly beautiful woman, her pale and flawless skin, her silky and shiny long black hair and her red lips everything about her was alluring.
Her brave personality and her stubbornness, her charming smile and perfect figure and her tall height everything about her attracted him like a moth to a burning lamp.
He found her an enigma, a beautiful enigma that he would like to keep.
Suddenly he looked at his wound and smiled, "I am injured, and I am in recovery my enemies can wait." he mumbled.
The next morning when he woke up and walked out of the room he saw that Ariadne was in the kitchen, she came out of the kitchen with some breakfast and smiled when she saw Leon.
"Good morning Leon." she said and Leon gave her a smile back, "I have made breakfast for you and I have bought a toothbrush for you as well," she said as she gave the toothbrush to him.
"Thank you." he said and Ariadne just gave him a smile, "go and get fresh, oh and you can wear my oversized t-shirt."
Leon smirked as he looked at her, "and what will I wear under it?"
Ariadne thought about it, "just keep the towel wrapped I will bring some clothes for you today, just tell me your size." she said and then took out her phone, "I have to talk to Renee as well."
Leon's smile was gone suddenly and as Ariadne was turning to leave he suddenly grabbed her hand making her shocked, "What?" she asked.
Leon let go of her hand and smiled again and said gently, "can you do me one more favor?"
Ariadne gave him a nod, "yeah sure."
"Please don't tell your sister or anyone about me."
Ariadne blinked and hesitated before replying, "Renee is my sister and she has helped me a lot, how can I hide something from her? She will feel bad and might think that I broke her trust."
Leon explained quickly, "it's not like that Ariadne, actually, the people after me are very powerful people, and your sister will be the one who can get into danger, the lesser people know about me the better.
And what if your sister accidentally tells my information to someone? "
Ariadne thought for a while, she can't even bear the thought her sister, her only family might get into danger because of her, so she smiled and gave him a nod, "alright I won't tell her anything."
"Thank you."
~~~

After breakfast, Ariadne left for work and Leon stayed at home.

Not after an hour after she left he started to miss her already.

The apartment felt lonely and boring, so after some time lying around he got up and started to look around, and very strangely enough he did not find any photo of Ariadne there.

No family photo and no photos of her sister nothing.

He looked around some more but there were no photos.

He then opened her almirah as well and only found clothes, no ID no passport no nothing.

And the more he looked the more suspicious he became.

No bank card, no passbook, no nothing basically no proof of her existence at all.

All of this made him suspicious and really made him think that was Ariadne really her real name?

~~~
Ariadne was at the store and welcomed the customers but she often thought about Leon.
He must be really getting bored at home.
She bought some clothes for him and also bought some food items for both of them.
And after what he said to her in the morning her curiosity to more about him only increased.
And while she was thinking of him her phone suddenly rang and she knew who it must be.
There was only contact saved on her phone and it was none other than her sister Renee.
"Hi Renee," she spoke once she answered the call and in return, she heard a cold voice.
"How are you doing Ariadne?"
"I am doing just fine."
"Hm... I hope that you are eating well and taking care of yourself."
"Yeah, I am."
"And have you made any friends?"
Ariadne's smile vanished and she paused before she answered, "No... not yet."
"Hmm... I am stopping your from making friends but I would be happy if you introduced them to me first, you have no memory of who you are and you can be easily taken advantage of."
"I understand."
"Alright don't talk to anyone suspicious, I will call you again two days later."
"Okay." as soon as the call was disconnected Ariadne sighed with relief she felt her heart clench after she lied to her sister.
But Renee's safety was more important to her.
