I felt rays of light deep in my eyes even though they were closed, and I managed to open them. The light pouring in was blinding. I had to shield my eyes from getting blinded by the light with my hand.

“Shit!” I exclaimed in annoyance.

It took me a while to not only adjust to the bright light, but also remember what had happened to me in the last forty eight hours.
