Two Different Lives

"Dad, I can't get married now."

"Why not? I won't listen to you, Charlotte.  Rex Davies is one of the top businessmen in the country. His business  has spread abroad. You're lucky that you can get married to him."

 "Well, Dad, why is such a big business man marrying me? If millions of girls are ready to marry him, then why should he marry the daughter of a small businessman like you? Think deeply dad." I said that quite concernedly.

"Charlotte, you doubt everything, what's new here?" My father said it, losing his temper on me.

I shouted at my father, "Dad,  doubt does not happen like this anymore. You always claim to be our father. I remember something from my childhood but one thing that comes to my mind from then on is very well understood. But after the death of my mother, I got nothing but rules from you. We have to stay captive at home all the time without class. I can't able to talk to anyone. We were never even asked if we had any relatives. And that's when you got up and were crazy with my marriage. And how do you do it right? Surely there is a problem here, do you believe it or not?" 

When my  father heard my  words, he mumbled and said, "You have been talking too much lately. Do you think that I will accept your words if you say these things?"

My father placed his hands on his waist and uttered, "You can always be crazy but not me. Money is standing at my door. I can't push money to my feet by hearing your words. Besides, I already promised him that you would get married to him today. This Trevor Fox never breaks his word."

Trevor Fox paused for a second and continued, "Besides, if you don't agree to this marriage, I will force Alice to marry Rex if necessary."

I heard my father's words and said angrily, "Boo boo how can you say that, dad? Do you want to play tricks on the life of a 12 year old girl for your own benefit? Are you the originator of me and Alice at all?"

Hearing this, Trevor Fox  was a little shocked. Without letting me understand his attitude, after a while he returned to his previous form and slapped me  on my cheek. 

He said to me, " You are not worthy of my good words."

 After saying that, he left the room.

 On the other hand-

"Boss, I have hired people to find John like you said. So, don't worry. You will get him in the night."

"Felix, I don't want to hear anything else today. I will feed his liver to my dogs. To me, no one can survive if they betray me or try to betray me. No one can run from this Rex Davies. They need to pay for what they did. John will pay for his deeds."

 Felix listened to his boss and said, "Yes boss."

Rex Davies looked at Felix  and said, "Felix, Don't mention any new work to me and I want to finish all the pending work before seeing the face of the new bride of mine, you understand? And I want to see John at night."

Felix  said in fear, "Don't worry boss, you will get him today at night. Well, boss, if you allow me, I want to say something."

 Rex Davies looked at Felix and said, "Hey Felix, why are you afraid? Tell me what you want to say."

Felix said stutteringly, " I mean, boss, will you really get married?'

Rex Davies heard Felix's words and said with a mysterious smile, "Do you think that it is possible to get married with a lie? And because I planned to get married with that girl so that I can drag Trevor Fox from the top down."

Felix mumbled and said, "Boss you haven't seen his daughter yet. You don't even know if she is black or fair. And the biggest businessmen in this city are willing  to give you their beautiful girls. I don't understand the issue of this marriage. Why are you marrying her?"

Felix paused and added, "Also some famous expensive models are waiting to get a glimpse of you. How is it that you are marrying Trevor Fox's daughter without looking at her?"

Rex Davies looked at Felix again and said with a sigh, "I have no idea what the girl looks like. Felix, I understand that you are very curious about this marriage. But you are forgetting that Rex Davies does not tell his shadow about anything. So leave these things aside, do what you have been given now."

Felix just responded saying, "Yes boss." and left from there. 

Meanwhile, Charlotte and Rex Davies got married in a domestic manner in the evening.

After Rex Davies confessed, he ordered Felix  to take the new bride home. 

He said to Felix, "I have an urgent job so I'll come home from there."

Charlotte is sitting in the car. She did not say goodbye in the same way as the bride did on her wedding day. Her marriage was not like eight or ten marriages. She did not agree to this marriage till noon but her father wanted to marry Charlotte's younger sister instead. Then Charlotte stopped talking and agree to this marriage.

Charlotte  knows how thirsty her  father is for money. Sometimes she doubts whether this man is their father! This guy never treats their two sisters well. However, before signing the blank paper once a month, her father's love for her erupted. To this day she does not know what her father did with the sign on the blank paper. 

However, it is clear that there is something about money. For money, her father took a job that he could not do. This guy once said he would marry Alice if Charlotte  didn't get married. If Charlotte  didn't agree, he would do it. That's why she got married to save her younger sister's life. 

Today she got married and the groom has not been seen yet. She never saw her groom Rex Davies. She only knows the name of the groom, Rex Davies.

 Thinking about the words, she returned to reality with a light jolt of the car. The car is entering through a dark gate where there are small and big trees all around, what a creepy feeling all around. The car came to a halt in front of a two-story house. There is another car behind the car that Charlotte  came in. Five people got out of the car. Four of them got out of the car and went somewhere. 

Another came to Charlotte  and opened the car door and said, " Madam, come inside."

Charlotte  at first thought this man was her husband. But she understood that that man wasn’t her husband when she was called madam by him.

Charlotte entered the house behind Felix. 

After entering the house, Felix called Jacob Taylor, the cook of the house and told him to take Charlotte upstairs to her room. 

Felix looked at Charlotte and said, "Madam, you go with him to your room. The boss will meet you there when he arrives."

Charlotte  has been sitting alone in the room for an hour. When she looks around the room, she can see the touch of modernity. 

 

Walking in the room she said to herself, "It didn't feel like a wedding home at all. There is no fuss. No one welcomed me and took me home. The huge house feels like I'm alone here. Well, when I entered the house, I heard the sound of many dogs. Their voices sounded like they were starving. I was scared for a while by their voices. The sounds were getting so close I thought the dogs were running towards me. In fact, I've been scared of dogs since I was little."

You have not been given my identity. Let's talk alone. Let's get acquainted. I am Charlotte Fox.  This time I have been admitted in the first year of honors. I'm a little over 5 "3 'tall. My complexion is pale, my eyes are drawn to it. Of course, everyone in college and university admired my appearance. Others called me a fairy. Talking more about me and keep up the good content then my mother's name is Zara Fox. She died 12 years ago. I have a sister named Alice Fox. She is 12 years old. And she is my soul.

When I was walking throughout the room I saw something that made me fear. It is not what I'm expecting. Is this real or I'm hallucinating?
