Valentina didn't know how it happened because one minute she was riding him to cloud nine and the next they were in his room, with Lucas head buried between her legs, his mouth hot against her core. His tongue flicked and licked, dragging deep groans from his throat as he devoured her without restraint. She couldn't help but hook her legs over his shoulders, her back arching off the bed to give him all the access he wanted. Needed.

Just when she thought she would lose her mind from the overwhelming pleasure, he lifted his head, and she saw his mouth and jaw glistening with her release, his darkened eyes burning with hunger. She had gone from trying to calm him down to being trashed.

Licking his lips, he let her legs slide back down onto the rumpled black sheets.

He stood up, and took off his pants, the briefs following immediately.

Lucas climbed onto the bed, kneeling between her legs as he ran a hand over himself, his gaze locked onto her while he pleasured himself. The sight alone h

Lucas left the De Luca estate without a word, stepping into the car Matteo had pulled up at the entrance. The moment the door shut behind him, he exhaled slowly, rolling his sleeves back down, ignoring the faint strands of Alecia’s hair still clinging to his cuff."Where to?" Matteo asked, glancing at him through the rearview mirror. He didn’t answer immediately. His fingers tapped idly against his knee, his mind working through what just happened. He had made his message clear to Alecia, and with how things went he's forced to believe that Antonio has no idea what's going on.Lucas wasn’t foolish enough to think a man like Antonio De Luca would let what happened slide. The old man had patience, yes, but patience wasn’t mercy."Drive around," He said finally. "I need to think."---At the De Luca estate, Antonio sat in the same spot Lucas had left him, fingers laced together, his elbows resting on the table. Across from him, Alecia downed her pain relief pills with a glass of water an

Alecia coughed hard, her hand gripping the edge of the table as she tried to catch her breath. Her father turned sharply to one of the servants.“Get her a tissue.” He ordered.A maid hesitated before stepping forward, moving toward the cupboard table behind them, she made to grab a piece when Lucas pushed back his chair. “Let me.”He stood up and walked to her, pulling open the drawer. The soft rustle of paper sounded as he grabbed two tissues. He came back and faced Alecia, lifting her chin with one hand. She stiffened. He wiped her lips, slowly, soaking up the wine and spit left from her coughing fit. His fingers brushed her skin as he tilted her face just enough to clean her properly. Her father’s stare burned into him, with eyes narrowed, watching every movement. While Alecia barely breathed, her chest rising and falling unevenly. She wasn’t thinking about the choke anymore. She wasn’t thinking about the servants watching or her father burning holes into their heads. She was thin

The sound of the kids show playing on tv drowned Val groans, though she wasn’t really watching. The screen flickered with muted colors, but her mind drifted elsewhere. She lay stretched out on the couch, careful not to move too much. Her body still ached, and the bruises had darkened, her ribs protested with every shallow breath she took. She had learned quickly that stretching, twisting—anything beyond the smallest shift—sent sharp pulses of pain through her torso, fast enough to steal her breath. The house was quiet. Lucas had been upstairs for a while, and she had no idea what he was doing. Likely something she about his investigation. Reminded of how his room smelled like it was smoked when she mustered her strength to go check on him after hours of not seeing him, and it was not the cigarette smoke. She adjusted slightly, testing the limits of her soreness. A small wince tugged at her features, but she forced herself to relax, exhaling slowly.Suddenly she heard clicks of heels o

The dim light flickered in the small room, the only sound in there was the faint one of the old air conditioner struggling against the summer heat. Lucas sat in the corner, his eyes focused on the man bound to the chair before him. Sweat dripped down the man’s face, his breathing was shallow and quick, and his eyes scanned around the place looking for any tiny opportunity to get away. Matteo’s text had come in just as Valentina had fallen asleep, that he found the guy, the mastermind himself, and no matter how much Lucas wanted to be in the room when val wakes up, he had to finish this tonight. He'd come to know her as a very curious person, a weird trait for a lady that carried herself with grace, and he liked that about her it's not everyday you see someone who makes you want to be your old self in front of them. And knowing valentina, if he delayed his business until tomorrow, there's no way she wouldn't find out, and the funniest part of all this was put her in front of the culpr

The street was a mess. People had gathered, some peering into the wreck, others with their phones out, either recording or trying to call for help. Horns blared as cars struggled to maneuver around the crash site, drivers cursing at the unexpected traffic."Is she breathing?" someone shouted."She needs to get out of there—the car’s leaking!" another person called out.A bigger looking man on the situation pulled the door open, ignoring the heat radiating from the engine. "Miss, can you hear me?" He asked, but no response came. Valentina’s body was limp against the seat, blood trickling from a cut near her hairline, and her gut was clenched—she wasn’t waking up, and the truck had long driven away. The rail of the bridge was the only thing holding her and the car from falling and sinking into the river. "We need to move her!""But what if her spine—""If that car goes up, there won’t be anything left to save!"Sirens screamed in the distance, as a woman crouched beside the car, pressi

Valentina walked out of the hospital quickly, clutching her purse by her side, she barely held together everything she was feeling. Her heels clicked against the pavement, her breath uneven, and her other hand clenched at her sides as if gripping onto the last bit of control she had left.By the time she reached the car, her chest was tight, and a painful lump had formed in her throat. She yanked the door open, got in, and shut it with more force than necessary. The moment she was inside, she let out a sharp breath, her fingers shaking slightly as they pressed against her lap.Lucas, who had been leaning back in his seat, turned his head slightly, wondering why she looked like she just had a fight with the doctor. She could feel his gaze on her, steady and unreadable.A few seconds passed, and he asked. "What happened?"She didn’t answer. Not because she didn’t want to, she was sure Lucas made his reaserch about her and her family before they got married and he knew every detail, but
