Chapter one

Amber Baker couldn’t contain her excitement as she left the store where she had gone to buy a pregnancy test kit, its been two weeks since she started noticing something was weirdly wrong with her, the nausea, her sudden cravings to things she never liked and since she and her boyfriend Gregory Isaac had been having sex without protection it all didn’t seem wrong for her to be pregnant with his child.

Amber was so sure that with the news she was going to deliver her relationship was definitely going somewhere, its been a year since she and Gregory started dating and they talked about kids and marriage all the time, she also couldn’t wait to also tell her best friend Lisa Green about it. feeling happier than she did this morning when she left he house she opened the door to the house she shared temporarily with Gregory.

“Baby I’m home” she said a little too loud as she took off her shoes in front of the door and walked inside the house placing her bag on the chair in the sitting area to take out the result of the test, holding the PT in her hand tightly she walked slowly towards the room as she heard sounds coming from the room through the door that wasn’t fully closed.

She regretted it the moment she popped her head inside through the small open space,the test in her hand fell to the floor as she stared widely at her boyfriends naked sweaty bottom as he was groaning loudly trying to go deeper inside whosoever was on the bed with him.

Amber was so shocked she couldn’t speak as she walked towards the bed and sat on it it was only then she saw the face of the girl her boyfriend had been screwing, if it was someone else she was sure she wouldn’t feel this much pain.

Finding her voice Amber got up from the bed,her voice was shaky as tears filled her eyes. 

“why?”

She asked as the two of them shuffled so fast away from each other, all those times she was standing in the room and even when she sat down on the bed they didn’t notice her until she spoke and it made her mad that they were so engrossed in the sex.

“B-b-baby what are you doing here? I mean its not what it looks like!”

“A-amber!” 

They both said at the same time, Amber wasn’t even focusing on Gregory but on Lisa her so called best friend, she had always had it in mind that one way or the other Gregory would cheat but she was never expecting it to be with her best friend.

“Amber look I can explain!” Gregory said getting up from the bed and coming towards her without even bothering to cover up, his dick was still hard and glistening from Lisa’s wetness and it disgusted her. Looking past him she stared at Lisa who was trying to put on her dress and all she could feel was anger and hatred, she didn’t know where the intense hatred was coming from but she needed it, she couldn’t bear to look like a fool in front of them, turning around she picked up the test that had fallen from her hand and turned back to face them, this time Lisa was fully clothed and was avoiding her gaze while Gregory was still standing naked but this time his dick had gone soft and the wetness had dried.

“Why aren’t you saying anything? I mean don’t you have something to say to me?” 

Amber said to Lisa.

“I am sorry, I-I don’t know what happened it I-it just did, Amber you know id never hurt y-”

“Just shut it Lisa, you obviously wanted this, you have been trying to fuck me for ages don’t act like you’d die for her, I-”

‘If you loved her so much then why the fuck didn’t you hesitate when I came onto you huh? Why didn’t you say t-”

“Enough both of you!, I was excitedly running here to share my good news with you guys only to realize that there would also be a bad news”

“What good news?” Gregory asked looking as he shared a look with Lisa.

“You don’t deserve to know this but since you are the father its best you-”

“Wait father?, what father? What are you talking about?” Gregory asked looking genuinely confused.

“Shes pregnant shithead!” Lisa said nudging him in the stomach.

“That cant be right, I-I mean its impossible!” Gregory announced.

“What do you mean impossible?” Amber asked looking as confused as Lisa.

“You cant be pregnant I am infertile!, so that baby’s not mine” Gregory said eyeing Amber with disgust.

“I-I don’t, I-I-I don’t understand what you mean by you are infertile?” Amber said, she obviously knew the meaning but she just couldn’t understand what he was saying.

“It means he cant get you pregnant Amber.... guess he wasn’t the only one sleeping around”

Lisa said staring at Amber too with disgust on her face.

“You cheated on me too” Gregory muttered.

“Hey! you know that’s not true! You’re the first and only person I have ever been with and you both know this! its not possible for me to be pregnant if you cant do it I-I mean h-how is this possible?”

Gregory walked up to where Amber was breaking down and held her by the shoulders but she moved away from him and it made him angry, grabbing her arm roughly he shook her.

“What the fuck is your problem?” amber asked staring up at him with tears in her eyes.

“I should be asking you, you walked in here like you did nothing wrong, if I wasn’t infertile I would have said it was mine but we all know that it is not mine, so d-”

“let her go jackass because its not yours does not mean shes not pregnant, you’re hurting her” Lisa said as she pulled Gregory away from Amber who fell to the floor She didn’t understand what was going on but she was going to figure out everything first she needed to get out of this house and away from Gregory and Lisa.

“I am done with you Amber just leave, I don’t want a cheater in my house!” ”You say it like you’re so innocent, and you didn’t have to tell me, I was planning on leaving already’”

“let me guess you don’t know who the father of the baby is ” Gregory said chuckling.

“Mind your business” Amber said angrily but then a thought crossed her mind.

‘Who was the father?’
