CHAPTER 11

“I think I have seen that men before."

Zeke confused and he wants to know if Mr. Lance have a relation with Danica before.

"Where?" He asked her.

"He had worked with my Dad before.." Danica said looking away from his gaze when Zeke narrowed his eyebrows.

"What?" Zeke questioned while Danica slightly moved on her seat.

"Yes that was him. I r-remember. Mom, once sent me to get Dad back from the club since he was very drunk. He was celebrating something that day.. And that man was with him. I don't think of him as a very good person. That's why l was asking if you were working with him."

Danica looked up at him hoping for him to tell her that he isn't working with him.

"What's makes you think I am a good person?" He scoffed then looked back at the front eating his food.

"He uhmm. I think he’s not just good. I t-trust you to not b-be like him.” She said.

Zeke noticed her shivering not wanting to talk, he silently ate his foods while Danica looked at him.
