Chapter 70

Leo stared at his mom's dead body, his heart filled with pain, tears snaking down from his eyes as he looked at her face he hasn't seen in a long time.

He's trying hard to hold himself not to burst into crying, but it really hurts. He wanted to save his mom, not find her dead and tossed around.

He shook his head, closing his eyes shut, while Emily tried to console him by touching, and rubbing his shoulder.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Leonard. This was...unexpected." Emily made it known.

Leonard looked at her. "It seems like my dad has given up."

Emily nodded. "His giving up doesn't seem to be a good thing. It's obvious before he gets caught, he wants to ruin your life."

Leo sighed and looked back at his mom. He was so angry that all he could think of was getting revenge. He's gonna show him exactly what he's capable of.
