Chapter sixteen

ALEXA'S POV.

4th September. Saturday.

Seeing the trailer up front, I matched my brake to stop my car from going further. I was surprised to see it didn't budge. I kept stepping on it, but it didn't work.

My eyes were wide in terror at the trailer still there, as I kept stepping on the brake.

I frowned. "What the hell? What the hell is happening?"

Everything was dawning on me, and my chest rising up, and down in rapid breaths.

Panic seized my brain, as I couldn't stop my car from moving.

"Oh my God!"

I looked around, and my brows furrowed as they caught something...

I don't know, but I could feel someone pushing me. The pushes were becoming annoying, then my eyes opened.

I sighed seeing Leonard looking at me with relief on his face.

"Damn it! You scared me."

I furrowed my brows. It was just a dream?

"Were you dreaming?" He asked.

I nodded. "Apparently."

"What was it about?" He asked again.

"Acci..."

Realization dawned on me. Accident? Car accident? Brake failure?
