November 11th, 1950- It's not over.

I was able to save him and stop the invasion but I got myself captured. Now they know I am his mate, they want to use me to destroy everything instead. I have been locked up for days but I know he will save me, I can feel it but I fear for what is to happen since this hadn't occurred in my past.

There is nothing I can do to save myself and I am too weak to shift, they must have known I would try to escape if I was able to turn. Now I am helpless. I was able to find out about the traitors of our pack who fed information about us away but my wolf is too weak to link with Richard, now all I can do is hope for a miracle.

I still don't understand my power and how it works but I wish granny was alive.

Riona was in her room, tucked under her covers after just waking up from her sleep. She picked up her mother's book to read the next diary entry. A gasp escaped her at the information. Her mom was captured? Her mother's life was really in danger and she was unaware of it. She rubbed her mother's ring she had put on, why didn't she have a close connection with her mother after she had grown up? She didn't even see her mom that often after she passed thirteen, was it that easy to grow apart from your own mother?

The story changed. She read it two more times before closing the book, her current strength would only take her so far. Preparing herself mentally and physically won't be easy and she couldn't raise any attention to herself as she tried to get stronger.

She would go to war for her people even if they saw her as a weak luna, proving herself to them was her priority. She took off her mask and put it in her bag along with other things she might find useful, she looked at herself in a mirror and tied her blond hair into a ponytail. Riona had her father's blue eyes but other than that she looked just like her mother.

Using a hidden passage in the garden, Riona slipped away from the mansion unnoticed even then she couldn't go far from the pack grounds without being spotted. She hadn't shifted since her turning but there was no other way to achieve a silent and quick exit. Riona hid just behind a tree before taking off her clothes.

Shifting could cause even the strongest man to yell in pain, people just built up a tolerance for the pain but Riona was fairly new to it, she bit her lips hard, almost drawing blood to muffle her scream as her bones crack and took a new form.

The pain had subsided and Riona was on all fours, a wolf with pure white fur that embodied it and deep blue eyes that sparkled even more than the skies, one would say her white wolf was a glorious sight to behold. In her wolf form, she was smaller than an alpha but still bigger than the normal werewolf. She sprinted off, everything blurred at the speed, even the detectors placed to notify when someone entered the pack grounds didn't make a beep sound as she ran past it.

Riona couldn't help but enjoy the moment as the wind blew her fur and the natural smell of the forest, nothing felt better as she headed to her special place.

* * *

It was now dark out and Riona was panting, her movements slowed and her body ached from shifting and training all day. It would take a little getting used to before she could train for longer hours.

Just then her skin prickled with a sense of awareness.

"Who are you? Show yourself." She pointed at a tree with the stick she used as a makeshift weapon.

She took a deep breath to relax her body and mind, finally taking in her surrounding. she caught a whiff of something in the air, the divine smell of honey, and something even sweeter.

"You are a little too late to realize things, I was here long before you arrived." Someone emerged from behind the tree and she gripped her stick tighter.

Riona stood there gawking at the person who appeared. It was a man, A foreigner? He had naturally red hair that was curled up in a mess but still managed to look amazing but it was his eyes that held her attention, a dark shade of green just like the forest. Is he the one that smelt good enough to eat?

He had been watching her since she had arrived but chose now she was exhausted to attack her. Riona had to be clever and use her greatest power against him... Speed. She also had the ability to mask her scent of her own free will, something she did as a kid when she wanted to sneak out without her father knowing. But he would be suspicious if her scent just disappeared.

"Wouldn't you call yourself a creep for secretly watching me," she said while waiting for the perfect time to make a move.

She had better chances if she could make a run for it immediately after masking her scent but the question is who was faster, him or me?

"You intruded on my lands, I was just curious as to your intentions." He watched her like a vulture did its meals, like he noticed the slightest movement she made and could see as far as her inner thoughts.

The last time she had been here with her father, the land had been unclaimed but now he comes and says it was his. Lair.

Riona had expected her story to change too but she pondered on the importance of this moment and who the stranger was.

"I am not here to hurt anybody."

"Maybe, but how would I know that for sure, you do have your weapon pointed at me. Maybe you are an assassin although a little rusty from what I could see."

It's a stick, you can't even call it a weapon.

One_ two_ three, Riona took her chance, doing a sharp turn before running as fast as she could in the direction of her pack, she looked back once and saw the stranger closely behind her. Of course he had expected it.

She successfully hid her scent but It was just a matter of time before he gained up on her, not having any other choice for her escape she leaped into the air, and clenched her teeth as she let her wolf out ripping her clothes in the process. She didn't look back again, she just kept running at full speed.

That dude has serious issues, why was he even chasing me?

She returned safely and slipped back into her room then fell to the ground, her breathing out of control and her naked body in enough pain to keep her unmoving. Just then her mind caught up with her, she lifted her up despite her exhaustion

  • The Masked Luna   The Entrance

"Where are we going? You are moving like you know this place." "You don't need to follow me you know." 'Like I have a choice' she muttered under her breath. Walking was a challenge since she sprung her leg but she rather crawl than let herself lose guard around Lennox again. When he offered to carry her, she flat-out denied him and now he was being an ass, taking long strides she couldn't keep up with just to make her ask for his help but he had no idea the extent of her pride. After the incident of the last time, they stuck to lower ground, following a clear path. Lennox didn't know why but his instincts had become somewhat sharper and more accurate, his sense of smell too. He was able to track the hot spring earlier and the fruit, because he caught a whiff, Of it and tracked their smell. Now, although it was faint he could smell salt water forward which meant the ocean sea, he could lead her out of the forest and to the beach of the island then they would figure more

  • The Masked Luna   Just us - part two

Riona cried out at the sight of the hot bubbling water, almost tripping in her mission to pull off her shoes. Freed of her shoes, she took eager steps forward, standing on one foot and then putting the other down to test the waters. She paused when her hand moved, about to start on the button fly of her pants. Her gaze shifted behind her to find him watching her with a gleam of expectation in his eyes. “You will be leaving right now.” “I said I would help you.” “I don't need help, especially from you, I know how to bathe myself.” “But you’re tired and hurt. Why not let me help? Let me take care of you.” She glared daggers at him. "I hurt my leg not my hand, now fuck off." "Why fight this?" “Either you leave or I will.” “Fine.” He shrugged. “I will leave because I can't have you not bathing and stinking up the place. Call me if you need me.” Stink? How could he even say that? She sniffed around her just to make sure. That bastard. She knew h

  • The Masked Luna   Just us

Riona groaned with a beaming grin resting on her face. She had the best dream ever although she could never openly admit it, a forbidden dream that felt like she had a taste of heaven in that moment of pure bliss. She opened her eyes and was met with dark Stone walls, a cave? It didn't matter since she felt good well until she felt the cold breeze twinkling her body and causing goosebumps to erupt as she shivered. Oh no! Her gaze moved down and for some reason she was completely naked, the smile she had on dropped into a hard frown. Why am I naked? Her mind panicked when she couldn't formulate any other answer except one and how she wished she was wrong or probably having a nightmare. Unfortunately, she knew that her so-called dream was not a dream, she really threw herself at Lennox and then slept with him. Her hands flew to her mouth, covering her gasp. What was I thinking? Right, I wasn't. "You are finally awake." Out of all the times to arrive, he

  • The Masked Luna   Hot night

Riona opened her eyes, her breath short and her body on fire with pure desire. She brought her hand down to roam her body and she shuddered at the sensation. "You are awake!" The sound of Lennox's dark voice fueled her need and an involuntary moan escaped her. She couldn't start to explain what exactly was happening but her mind was foggy and her body craved release. "Help me..." She whimpered in a barely audible voice. Lennox was by her side in a matter of seconds, worry clouding his expression then confusion. Her eyes were watering and she looked to be in pain as she grasped his hand and pulled it to her body. "Touch me... Please." "What?" He breathed out. Her request was impossible to reject but a part of him knew she wasn't in her right mind and she would hate him even more if he actually did. Riona groaned as her body throbbed and she couldn't stop herself anymore. She pushed Lennox back to the ground and straddled his waist. She planned to

  • The Masked Luna   Guardian

There was no guide on how to take care of a girl while stranded on a dangerous island and even if there was Lennox had definitely not read it. He had been walking for hours with Riona in his arms and his heart swelled with pride that she trusted him enough to fall asleep unguarded, snuggling into him although he knew she was passed out because of stress but that didn't stop him from believing what he wanted to believe. Even though his arms were tired and his legs ached making him very aware of his weakness, but in a weird way he couldn't explain he took joy in this little moment that shouldn't mean anything. Riona's leg had swollen a bit but now it was starting to come down. Lennox scouted for a place to lay for the night as the sun was setting but there was no sign of a house or a simple cave, which was to be expected since being on a dangerous island, no one in their right mind would want to be here. Just as the thought left him, there was a voice. "I remember you."

  • The Masked Luna   Death Island

What are my doing? Lennox was yet to comprehend his actions of helping Riona to escape, and leaving the organization and now he was stuck on a dangerous island while being as weak as a mortal. "You pray I don't make it out of here or I will end you the very chance I get." Riona threatened with gritted teeth. He gulped at the seriousness in her voice. I am a victim too. When Nix offered to save her, he couldn't explain the relief that washed over him, extinguishing his anger enough for him not to want to murder someone. Even now he couldn't stop wanting to protect her as she recklessly climbed up a mountain, taking every step with the potential of falling to her death. Did she forget she was no longer supernatural? His hand shot up as a reflex when Riona lost her footing but she still held on. His heart was at stake with the way it sped up, wanting to escape his chest whenever Riona did anything, even look at him. He might just not make it out without having a

  • The Masked Luna   Trapped

"He is here, " Riona's gaze shifted from the messy floor and roamed the room with a brow raised as she searched for whoever Nix was talking about. Being all-knowing really makes life easier. "Who?" She asked. Her eyes were now on Nix but her body was on alert and ready to defend in case of any attacks although she couldn't yet use her powers. What did they inject me with? Nix remained quiet, staring at her window then her lips pulled down into a frown. Riona didn't expect it when something came crashing right through the window, shattering the glass in the process. Nix stood, glaring at the intruder. "There is a door!" Then she heard a voice, deep, calming... Familiar, "I know that." Riona went to her feet, staring at the new scene before her. Her mind trying to form out where she had heard that voice before, and who it belonged to as she tilted her face to the side in an attempt to see who it was since he had his back turned to her when he cam

  • The Masked Luna   A god

"Now tell me who you are?" "Nix," she said immediately. Riona just stood still half tempted to clean up the mess in the room, how did she manage to live here? Instead, she waited with her gaze on Nix for her to continue, she didn't. "You say that like I am supposed to know you." "Uhh... I am a god," She said, sounding more like a suggestion. Nix frowned at the blank stare Riona was giving her. Of course, she doesn't believe me, maybe I should have put on my dead serious face. "A god." "Yes, Nix the all-knowing," She spoke proudly. Nothing put a dent in Riona's blank look of disbelief. You could at least laugh instead Of looking at me like that. With a sigh, Nix got up from the bed and did the thing. In a blink of an eye, the room transformed from a messy pig style to a blank white canvas. Riona's expression veered to that of surprise with her mouth slightly open and her eyes looking everywhere, It's plain white there is nothing to look at

  • The Masked Luna   Nix

Lennox growled, low and menacing with a hidden promise of destruction while his fist punched holes in the wall. Just a few minutes from going insane. Nix flinched every time his hand connected with the wall, just Imagining an actual person in the wall's place as Lennox probably was. Doesn't that hurt? He is really mad. She gulped hard, what do I do? "Uhm... L-" "Don't say anything Nix, just don't." He gave the wall one last hard punch that rocked it. Yikes! Then he calmed down just a fraction enough to take a seat with his hand holding his head. But he was obviously still tense with his stiff body. Of course, he isn't even hurt by that. Nix watched him vent since he saw them drag Riona's unconscious body into the white room and he was not happy, not happy? Understatement. I just watched him punch a wall for like an hour. That was his mate? You are cruel author and the poor wall is just... Wow. What do I even say to him? "This was not supposed to hap
