Hey guys! Hope you are enjoying the book so far, please rate and comment to encourage me to keep posting.
Lennox tried to keep calm by taking a shower after his run but not of that was helping. "Mate." He growled to himself. He could feel himself losing his senses with every passing second, maybe it was the fact that a full moon was coming soon because the need to complete the mating process and claim her as his was unbearable but she wasn't ready and he knew that. Answering his urges would just make her hide from him more than she already did, he may get her body but not her heart. "Fuck! Where is she." He slammed his hand hard against the wall, making a dent. It was already late enough and she was yet to return from her damn date, he knew he should have gone after them. What could they possibly be doing out together by this time? Was he a fool for letting his mate go with another male? Of course he was, but holding her back would just complicate things. "Fuck," He muttered to himself before turning off the water. All his attempts to remain calm proved futile. He sighed and go
"What do you mean by I should complete my mating process, why does that even matter." Riona stared blankly at Lia, she knew she could trust her but she wasn't letting herself. "It's a full moon soon Riona, I'm sure you have heard about the tales of moon madness," her expression was serious. "It's a myth," Riona said. Riona had heard about it from her father but it was just a silly story and besides she had never heard of anyone going crazy on the full moon just because their mating process was incomplete. "A wolf mating with his other half after they meet and activate the bond is important, there are no records of people getting moon madness because in the present-day people act on their instincts." It was late enough, Riona couldn't even sit to listen to this. First, she finds out she is under a thousand years old curse that is preventing her from becoming the wolf queen, and that her best friend who betrayed and killed her is after her crown and now this? "I can't do that."
"Mark me." Riona could see his emotions in his eyes as he stared into her own. He hesitated to do it until she gave him a slight nod, his heart was beating just as fast as hers and she could feel it, in that moment they were connected in a way they didn't understand. Lennox went back to kissing her skin, not able to get enough of her. The towel he had around him had come off at some point, he ripped her dress off her body causing her to gasp in response. He pulled back to see her body, taking note of every curve she had. To him, she was his perfect luna and way more than he had ever thought she would be. "You are beautiful," he said more to himself than her. Riona blushed at his comment, she had never done this before even when Marshall asked for it but something didn't seem right to her then but now Riona wanted to drown in this pleasure. His hardness pressed against her and she could feel it throb as she moaned. Lennox groaned and went back to kissing her, he lick
Riona woke up with a smile on her face, she yawned and stretched in bed which was a little difficult with Lennox's hand around her waist as he held her close, and for the first time in a while, Riona felt safe, she watched him in his sleep as his red hair fanned over his face, she secretly loved his hair but wondered how it could be so red. With a lingering kiss on his head, She quietly snuck out of his room and returned to her room dropping down on her bed with her arms spread out and the smile on her face even wider. Her cheeks flamed red when she thought of how amazing it felt to be with him, her hand came up to her shoulders to caress his mark on her... She had been claimed. Riona rememberd what he said, how could he be the alpha of the midnight pack when he is the exact opposite of what she had heard of him, she couldn't even hate him after hearing that from him especially since she has seen a soft side to him, one she guessed he had only for his people and her. J
"There is only one way out Riona but you have to be selfish." It didn't have to be that way, Riona tried to convince herself. Lia's plan was tempting especially since she would get to see her mom but what if she isn't able to rid her mind of the effects of going to the human world. There was too much at risk no matter the decision she made. Her people needed their luna but if she stayed she would die again but this time for good, if Lia managed to trick Lily into sending her to the human world then there was a chance for her to return for her people and with her mother by her side. "She is impatient Riona, her hatred for you fuels her every day but if you want to try and turn the tables then there is no other way." "How does Lennox fit into all this, I don't need him going too," Riona said. "Mates need each other to survive Riona that is how it is, he will weaken and die if he is away from you but if he is by your side he may be a reason for your memories to re
“Earth to Riona, what are you thinking girl?” “What? Uh… where am I?” “In a hallway,” May said, with her face blank “Rinrin if you don’t want to go to class then I am totally on board with that, we could ditch and go see a movie… ice cream! Let’s check out that new ice cream place that opened.” Riona blinked twice while she wasn’t sure what happened with an uncertain feeling that weighed on her but it left her and she could hear what her friend was saying. She wondered if she needed to see the doctor maybe she was about to come down with something she couldn’t afford to with finals drawing near, she had to ace all her papers so she could get a scholarship or she won’t be doing her masters after all. “No, we are going to class and you should stop being an unserious student.” “Oh come on, Mr. Gerald isn’t even an eye candy and his classes make me prefer to want to bang my head against a pole Riona, a pole, and let’s not forget his horrible accent he obviously fa
Riona clicked her heels deliberately as she sauntered down the sidewalk, her makeup was light and the red dress she wore was decent enough that it concealed everything she had on underneath so perfectly, her good girl getup was very convincing for infiltration. She had tossed her phone somewhere in her room before leaving, she didn’t need Lennox breathing down her neck especially when she was on a job. Moving unsuspected but still making sure she got attention, it was like she was a whole new person from the undergraduate who keeps her head low all the time. She successfully slipped past the security into a local club called Bane, her job this time was easy enough if nothing unlikely were to happen but when you’re in that line of work something always happens. The club had dim lights of blue, green, and red illuminating it, it was packed with men and women, and reeked of sweat, alcohol, and sex. A breeding place for people of all sorts of shady characters and while her tas
Riona tapped her feet continuously on the ground as she hummed a song to herself in an attempt to fill the nerve-racking silence between her and Mia. She was slouched back in her chair that was right in the middle of Mia’s office like she was a prisoner at her trial which wasn’t exactly wrong. She let out a bored sigh before changing position in the chair while staring holes at Mia who wouldn’t still look at her. “Oh come on just say something already, your silence is worse than your scolding,” Riona gave up the wait and said. She knew every step of the way that she would have to deal with her legal guardian and employer once she was done although she did accomplish her mission and saved over fifty people about to be sold out from the hands of traffickers but she was also reckless in her actions which had the two guys who tried to rape her in the hospital fighting for their lives. It felt like ages before Mia sighed and looked up to spare a glance at the one girl that
