Alpha Roland's POV:

"Well, I was going over the monthly report of all the supplies and inventory," I started out by saying, composing my next thought. "You know the one where we have to gather anything needed so we can make it through the next month. That was when I happened to notice the number of supplies for the month went down since the end of the previous month."

"Could it possibly mean the flux in numbers was just from a missed count on what was counted?" He asked, trying to think of an explanation. "You know, to think about it, you might recall numbers in the shorter months would be different. So maybe that would help to explain why some of the numbers might be off."

I thought about what he said but it wasn't supposed to be a shorter month till the end of our current month. The previous month was not all that short but regular in the number of days. And if that was the case, then the number should be up, not down in a shorter month,
