Chapter 42: The Kinesis

Rye and Khali stood on the yacht's deck, gazing down upon Kaleb and Violet, who were below. In the right corner, Chase and Gayle stand.

Rye mused, "It would come as no surprise if Gayle were to fall in love with Chase."

"What do you mean?" Khali asked.

Rye pouted, observing the lively conversation between Chase and Gayle. It was evident to Rye that Gayle was smitten with Chase. Her laughter echoed through the room.

As Rye embraced her from behind, he deftly pivoted her body to face him. She found herself sandwiched between his two strong arms, grasping the railings. A smile graced his countenance as he stood before her.

"Oh, why are you gazing at me like that?" Khali said. If you kiss me again, do you plan to do it again?"

Rye derived pleasure from Khali's words. "What makes you want to know? Can't you tell what I'm thinking?" Rye asked.

Khali shook her head and averted her gaze from Rye. "I finally have control of my power. So I can't read what you have in mind."
