Ridiculed

All her life she'd wondered about the insane methods people followed in India in the name of tradition and culture. One insane method was protecting a girl her whole life from other men, not letting her become friends with them, asking them not to trust strangers or even talk to them and then one fine day send her inside a room and ask her to strip her clothes off infront of a complete stranger. What nerve it must have taken to even call this a tradition. Of course things aren't that bad now but still this was happening in most parts of the country. The worst part was asking the girl to trust another complete stranger when she had just been failed by the previous one which was the case with Anya.
