Chapter 25: Red Lily

Harley walked towards his room tired because he had stopped himself from hunting his mate down and spending the whole day with her but he couldn't because the work on the ground had to be done on time if not, it would backfire on his pack in a not-so-friendly manner.

On getting to his room, he could hear his mate’s voice and some birds tweaking. He opened the door only to find his mate lying on the floor in his shirt and looking up at him.

“What are you doing?”

“Talking to my new friends.”

“The birds?”

“Yeah, this is Madison and this is Natila,” Marietta said, pointing to them.

Harley looked over at the birds, maybe hoping to find a name tag or something on their neck or anywhere on their feathers but found nothing.

“Did you name them?”

“Nope, Maddie told me, she's the gentle one while Naddie is the first one.”
