Selena swallowed hard and closed the curtains before walking over to her mom. “What’s going on?” “It’s all over the news, everyone is talking about it,” the woman replied. “The sun is gone.” She furrowed her brows, even more confused. But now worry was filling every part of her. Instead of replying to the woman, she made her way out of the room and down the hallway. She kept walking until she was walking out the front door. As soon as she stepped out, she came to a stop on the lawn and looked up. And her mom was right, there was no sun. It was there, but the thing was that it didn’t look like the sun that they all knew. It did not even look like the moon. It was just…just a ball of darkness. Almost like it was just a black dot. “Oh my god,” She said under her breath. She immediately knew that this had to do with the dark prophecy, and this meant that she needed to decide what she was going to do instead of just running away from the calling that the goddess had placed upon her.
