Chapter 80. They Already Hate Me

It all went dark, and it was so quiet. For once, it felt like Selena’s brain had given her some time to breathe; like it had given her a break.

Then suddenly, her eyes shot open and she was back into the real world. Her breathing was deep and heavy, but it soon returned to normal.

She sat up on what looked like a couch, then she looked around, her vision now clear. Her eyes landed on Axiel who was by the window. He had not noticed that she was awake yet.

He was on a phone call, talking to someone, but she could barely understand what he was saying.

Her head pounded in pain, and her nose too was crying out. But she knew she would heal. Even if that meant a day or a few, she knew her fast-healing would take care of her injuries.

She proceeded to try to swing her legs to the other side so her feet would be on the floor. And by doing this, she caught the trainer’s attention.
