68: You will remember it all

Kayla's POV

This woman was strong. The way she carried me on her shoulder up several stairs without even taking a breath surprised me. But still, I didn't know if I should trust her or if I should stay clear from her. What was clear is that there is no escape from this place, so maybe the latter part of my thoughts about her wasn't even an option, I most definitely can't stay clear from her.

As she carried me up the stairs, my eyes followed the white walls and soon I closed my eyes. I wasn't sleeping but it felt that way. I could feel her drop me carefully on a bed, covering me with warm sheets since the place was cold, and then talking to someone over the phone asking them to bring meals for me.

She tapped me gently and I reluctantly opened my eyes and looked at her. Her blue hair matched her blue eyes, the only thing is that her eyes didn't look like the kind of blue eyes that you'd admire and wish to be lost in. No, it looked awfully cold and a bit scary.
