Freda’s P.O.V

“We need to leave now?”

Before I could respond, Craig ushered me up from the chair. He pulled me towards the door. A lot of people seemed to have the same idea at the same time.

I frowned.

Just now, everyone was seated, and now, everyone wants to leave.

“What’s going on?”

Craig looked back, “Whatever that information is. I’m sure its dangerous. We need to get out of here before the buyer gets the information.”

“So, what about everything you had bought?”

“It will be sent to my ad

  • The Mysterious Alpha    Forty

Craig's POV The rest of society wasn't my favorite place to be. People came in and out, banging the restaurant’s door and making noise. I turned towards Greg. “Why do we have to meet in such a noisy place?”He looked around, a hint of amusement on his face. “Eric thought it was best to meet where no one would bother to pay attention to us. Look at this place. It’s the busiest place I could find.” Then he leaned towards me. “And I heard they have delicious delicacies.”I ignored the delicious delicacy and let my eyes roam over the restaurant. Everyone was barely paying attention to the things happening around them. Some were eating and licking off their hands as if they didn't care that anyone would pay attention to them. In one word, the place was beautifully chaotic. It was the perfect place to meet without thinking of being seen or heard.“I think we should order first,” Greg said, pulling his chair up. I watched him disappear down the lane that led to the counter.Just as soon

  • The Mysterious Alpha    Thirty Nine

Craig’s POVI dismissed everyone, leaving only my confidential partners with me - Greg, Drey, and Tom. It was time to be strategic. There was no time to dally around. “What was the report?” I asked Tom. He had figured out some strange information about my Uncle and how he was able to get our contact information. Dealing with the Sun Blood Pack was one thing, but claiming the Moon Blood Pack from my uncle was the main goal. “Your uncle is currently on the hunt for a girl with the mark. Recently, wolves who travel along the borders of the Moon Blood Pack have been found missing. But, I have a feeling it has to do with your uncle's search for the marked wolf.”I sighed. Was this why he had claimed he was going to find her before me? Just because he would do it the illegal way, as he usually does. I swallowed, turning my attention back to Tom. “Find the location of the wolves being kidnapped.”He nodded. There was no way I would allow innocent wolves to be punished for a sin they ha

  • The Mysterious Alpha    Thirty Eight

Freda’s POVSomething was wrong. I could tell from the way Craig had stood up. Yet, he assured me everything was fine. When I left his office, I had no intention of running away and hiding. I might not have trained much, but I was willing to help in any way I could. I didn’t move in the direction of Ava’s room as promised; I moved towards where the sound came from. Everyone was running in one direction. I followed, guessing it was where all the action would take place. Just as I was about to step out with others. I saw him. Shocked, my hand trembled, as my heart thumped. The last time I saw him, he betrayed me. He sold me as if I were an object. He forgot the years of friendship and love we had. Worse, he chose my sister over me. They mocked me. I wanted to move outside, but I could barely lift a step of my foot. Adrian was strong. I had seen him training. He spent hours training and making himself stronger. I knew because I watched him train. It used to be our moment togethe

  • The Mysterious Alpha    Thirty Seven

Craig's POV Something was wrong. I closed my laptop and moved towards Freda. Her face was pale as if she had seen a ghost. My phone started ringing. I picked it up. “We have been invaded,” Greg said. He cut the call. “Fuck!” I cursed. This was the first time we had been invaded. One of the reasons I brought Freda here was that it was the safest place we have been in for years. It was hard to swallow that someone had found out where we were. My heart thumped, recollecting my Uncle’s call. I just hope it wasn’t him. Not when I wasn’t ready to face him yet. Not when the prophecy hadn’t been activated. “What’s going on?” Freda asked, her voice shook as she focused on me. She already felt like she wasn’t doing enough. The last thing I needed was her thinking about what wouldn’t happen. “Nothing.” I closed the gap between us, holding her shoulder to make her glance directly at me. “I want you to look for Ava and stay close to her.”She blinked, her mouth parting to ask a questio

  • The Mysterious Alpha    Thirty Six

Freda’s POVI woke up with the rising of the sun. My whole body felt as if it had been hit by a truck, and I wanted to lie back down immediately. But I remembered I had to train. There were a lot of things I needed to know, and the last thing I should have been doing was lying in bed like I had nothing to do. Just as I sat up on the bed, a loud knock rapped on my door. “Yes!” I shouted. “Who’s there?”No one responded. I pulled myself from the bed, dragging my feet to the door. When I opened the door, I found one of the members - one I haven't learned her name well - standing in front of the door with a tray of food in her hand. I cocked a brow at her. A sly smile appeared on her face. “The alpha asked me to give this to you.”I frowned. “Craig said you should bring this to me.”She nodded. “Something about you being too tired to come down for dinner.” She looked down at the tray. “I guess he must have worked you hard.”My cheeks tinted a blush of red, taking in what she meant.

  • The Mysterious Alpha    Thirty Five

Craig’s P.O.V“What do you think about marrying me?”Her face bleached. She frowned, moving out of my embrace. She winced before sitting up. I knew this wasn’t the ideal way of proposing to a girl, but it was the best way I could protect her. I needed to mark her. To make her mine. It was the safest way to prevent her from harm's way. She looked up at me, flashing her eyelashes. “You don’t mean that, right?”Her cheeks were flushed. And I could hear the way her heartbeat was crazy. I definitely remembered she had just gone through one of the most dangerous betrayals ever. Maybe it wasn’t ideal to propose to her out of the blue. Hesitantly, I shook my head. “You’re right. I don’t mean it.”She sighed, probably in relief. Slowly, I pulled her back into my embrace while massaging her muscles. Greg would definitely get it from me for working her this hard. When I said he should train her, I never meant working her to the bone. “Are you okay?” She nodded. Then, she tensed up again.
