Chapter 6: Meeting Lui Shan & Doctor Ma

Su Lan stopped at the door when she heard a man and a girl speaking.

The Man: “How is Xiao Lan (little Lan)? Is she awake?”

The Girl: “Yes Master, Dr. Ma had taken a look at xiao xiao jie (Little Miss) and said Little Miss was still in a coma caused by poison. Dr. Ma has slowed down the poison from spreading and is trying to make an antidote for Little Miss. Little Miss hasn't woken up yet.”

The Man: “What! How can the imperial doctor be so useless! Shun, go take my pass and get a light magician here for Xiao Lan!”

Shun: “Yes, master.”

Listening to the conversion, Su Lan could figure out the man was Lui Shan, her "father". Lui Shan had her call him father when he took her in. The girl should be her maid Mango. Shun was her father's most trusted aid (assistant).

Su Lan pushed open the door before Shun could leave. She didn't want anyone to find out she had magic and that her poison was gone without an antidote.

Everyone turned to look at the door when Su Lan had just pushed open the door.

Su Lan (in her mind): Wow! Her father was so handsome. He had light blue icy eyes and hair. Look manly at the same time, elegant and gentle as a scholar. He was around 6'4" in height. He looked quite young for his age. If one didn’t know his actual age they would think he was around 30 years old! How can a 40 year old person have no wrinkles at all!!! Please tell me the method of maintaining your youthful look!!!

Su Lan: "Father, I am fine. You don't have to send for a light magician."

Lui Shan rushes up and hugs her.

Lui Shan: "Xiao Lan! You're awake!"

After a few minutes he loosened his hug and asked, "Are you okay? Are you still feeling unwell?" Turn his head towards Shun. "Quickly, go get Dr. Ma to check on Xiao Lan."

Su Lan: (in her mind): Noooooo! If he finds out the poison in my body just disappeared then it will be bad!)

Su Lan: "Daddy, I feel fine no need to get Dr. Ma."

Lui Shan was shocked and froze right there.

Lui Shan (in his mind): My daughter called me daddy (repeatedly in his mind).

Su Lan: “Daddy?”

Lui Shan finally came back after his daughter called him again.

Lui Shan: Yes.

Su Lan: “I don't need a doctor. I feel fine now. I ate the antidote already.”

Lui Shan: “What? No, have Dr. Ma check. Xiao Lan I already told you many times to don't put anything dangerous into your mouth or else I will take away your medical book and close off your medicinal field!”

Su Lan: “I am sorry I won't do it again. (Have a look of being wronged).”

Lui Shan: “Xiao Lan, you have to understand it for your own good. How many times has it happened this month and before in these years?”

Su Lan: “I really won't anymore. (New attack learned from Pom Pom - teary puppy eyes).”

Lui Shan once again failed to say no to her.

30 minutes later …

In the end, Liu Shan agreed to let her keep the books and field but she still needed to have Dr. Ma to check on her condition. Knowing there is no way to get out of this Su Lan had no choice but to agree.

When Doctor Ma entered the door Su Lan was once again stunned. Since she just briefly went through the memories of original Su Lan everyone's face was blurry. Su Lan later realized it wasn’t because she just quickly skimmed her memories that she could remember peoples’ faces. It was that the Su Lan here was only interested in medicine so everyone in her memories had a blurry face!

Su Lan originally imagined Dr. Ma to be a strict elderly or a jolly old man. In any case, she imagined Dr. Ma to be an old man. 

Dr. Ma was actually a cold looking man in his late 20s. He had dark blue hair and light violet eyes.

Su Lan (in her mind): !!!! Are all the men here this handsome!? But the hair and the eye color of people here is really....weird....but how does it look so good on them!!!

During this whole time, she was having a battle in her mind with a calm face. Her face was as calm as a lake surface where not a ripple was made.

Su Lan: (Gentle smile) "Good afternoon, Dr. Ma. Sorry to bother you once again."

Dr. Ma: (Stunned on the spot - this is showing on his face.)

Dr. Ma (in his mind): She actually can smile? Did she eat the wrong medicine that broke her brain or change her to a normal person!? A person who only grumbles underneath her breath with long chains of medicine names whenever he comes like a creep actually greeted him.

Su Lan and Liu Shan: “Cough...  cough”

Su Lan: “Dr. Ma I can hear you.”

Dr. Ma: “Oh, I said that out loud.”

Su Lan: “....Yes…” 

Su Lan (in her mind): What happened to my image of a cold and proud personality ... quietly tearing inside...why doesn't this follow the script!!!

Liu Shan: “Dr. Ma, please help my daughter take a look.”

Dr. Ma: “Sigh, okay.”

Su Lan: (in her mind): does he have to act so unwillingly?

Dr. Ma: “If you want to die please do it somewhere else, so I don't have to come here all the time because of an idiot who keeps drinking poison.”

Su Lan: “....”

Su Lan (in her mind): How am I supposed to answer that!!!!

Liu Shan: “Cough..cough”

Dr Ma: “If you have a sore throat I can prescribe some medicine for you.”

Su Lan and Liu Shan (in their mind): Falls on the ground and screams I (Dad) was obviously trying to interrupt your (his) rude speech.
