Chapter 6

The fog, or was the dust, lifted just as the presence disperse. I find myself in the forest, look dizzy to everything.

I'm yet able to process what just happens when Arsy appear with a strange expression in face.

“What a tactic!” he glare sadly.

“Arsy? What's wrong?” I shaken when the glare pierce through my heart, as if it's a countless needles.

He laugh painfully, his mocking deepened as he stepback. “You have a gut to ask? Oh, well! You've wish, you thick face! So what's stopping you to stop?”

It's like a blade stabbed through the deepest of my soul, I crumble. “What... Arsy, what are you talking about?”

It only worsen that his mocking right now feels different. It tells me this is how he really felt toward me. The more I step forward, the more he step back. I groan painfully. “Please... Arsy!”

His jaw clench, breathing heavily. “Forget it, Pyro! Your wish will never granted to begin with anyway!”

Just like that, he ran away. I follow him and his glare darkly enough for me to stop. I can feel the hate and it's wreck me.

“Arsy...” I watch him gone while tears fell like river.

I don't know how I able to stand and waiting on that place while the sun rise slowly. I'm a fool really to think he'll come back and explain where those emotions came from. The hate so cruel making me weak.

The gust of winds blows softly. “You fail...to even starts.”

“Huh?” My gaze remain at the poor trees that almost bow to the ground. The whisper surely coming from the witch yet I am weak to even throw a hate. I was hated for God sake!

“Oh,” the whisper growl, “are you acting saint, now of all time?”

“What do you really want from me?!” I can't stop but growl the same, my heart heavy. “You...died horrible. Is this your way of revenge?”

The witch laugh like mad. I can only sigh before giving up, walk pass the tress.

“Oh,” the witch again, “you're fool to follow your heart, Sacred Child! Though, fine. Go on and make him remember-”

“Can't you stop?” I glare everywhere, yet the maddened witch continue laughing. “God! This is crazy,” I thought to myself, feel like talking to nothing but wind!

To my frustration, the witch follow with a gust of wind. Her blows to my ears is such a hair-raising. However, I able to contain myself and glare to the side where heavy presence located.

“I never expect you to hide at the comfort of the wind, Witch?” I ask with my usual face.

“Ah-haha,” the laugh screech enough to boom my heart.

The witch don't even realize that and I can only walk away. Not that I'm not frustrates enought to her presence, she's block the way with crumbled trees.

“Not following him is sacred, Pryro,” she said meaningfully. “However, following your heart is not a biggest sin. Atleast if you're to give up your wish!”

I halted, remembering the wish...and what after it.

“No,” I murmur behind a freezing air surround me, “this is not happening...”

The witch shriek to the freezing air, flow away, and leaving only the bizzare mystery. “You both can't get away with this. I makes sure of it!”

A soft chuckle from behind just as the witch gone for good. “Arsy?”

I gasp to hear the name, yet there's no trace of him. I slowly look behind while my heart tremble for the unfamiliar figure with a wide open eyes.

“My bad,” he said, now looking around. “I thought it's Arsy,” he explain to see how I raise my brow.

“How do you know him?” I sound serious this time, he's shock and now the full attention is on me.

“So you know him-”

“Yes! So who are you?” I coldly said.

“So you're friend with Arsy!” he assume and now with a wide smile. I taken aback, shock to the sincerity of his voice.

Still I glare to not distract by how the color of his hair reminds me of the bloody town. It's...a color of the blood. Adds the awkward air in him just as he turn his gaze behind me, saw the trees that lying about in the bizzare way.

“I'm a friend of Arsy. How do you know him?” He brush his hands to the redness of his hair, trying to contain the tremble of it. He sigh to my silence, gone the smile to threaten. “Apologize, but who are you? Where he is?”

The way he look at me tells me that one lie lead me to the grave. I gulp, not to mention the fire in his eyes even though he's shaken. I wonder. What will happen if he know Arsy gone home...and I'm here alone?

“Arsy...” I slowly lifted my finger to point the far desolated place. Before I even say something, I notice how he fear the idea of Arsy in that place.

The way this red-haired of a man gasp this time, with his pleading eyes for something, I knowlingly look up him. Scared, huh?

“You're...not tells me he's there, right?” he's hoping for a lie.

I shrug. “Actually, I'm waiting for his returns. Arsy, you know, curious for something...and a bit hard to read.” I said meaninfully, look away to avoid giving him what he want. “I'm sure he'll return, though. I'll follow if he's not...”

“How sure are you?” his voice thunder, though he able to contain. This time he can't even stand in one place at a time.

“You're guarding me when you suppose to cross that place,” I said so sure that stop him from moving anxiously.

“What?” there's a question in his eyes that he hardly to grasp.

“Well, I told you. He's there!” I pointed the place, thick fogs brush on the border of the forest.

For an instance, his determination sky rocketed, yet I know for sure. The way he gulp and hold his hand to each other determine how he doubt his ability to stand the gusting of the winds. His shaken knees stood fine just as he realize I'm no way of lying, and face the place I'm pointed with serious expression.

“Wait here,” he said, gone the doubt and replace a heroic disposition. “I'll snatch him from them! That's for sure...”

I shrug just as his voice weakening. I think the deepest if he's harmless or not. Arsy is not even in that place, that's the truth that gives me a time to sigh of relief, so his bravery and risk didn't count that much. Yet I don't know why I feel strange... Is that place dangerous enough for him to first make sure Arsy's whereabout before crossing the thick-gusting fog?

“Isn't it...dangerous?” I can't risk him if it is, so I interupt him from doing so.

His expression horrible this time just as he halted, as if reminding something, it fill with horror this time.

He groan. “N-No... It's safe. Yes. It's really is-”

“You sure, huh?”

“O-Of course!”

His face say otherwise though, uncertain this time, yet try to say he's sure enough to cross the border. I roll my eyes and turn to the trees that lies to the ground.

“I guess...he's trying to cross the otherside,” I whisper just enough for the red-haired of a man to hear.

I didn't wait for his reaction and walk past the trees that crumble to the ground.

“Y-you...mean he's not-”

“I have a business with him,” I interrupted his wonder, “so follow just as my presence cover this place, and it will lead you to him. I'll have to fully understand first the intention of the witch,” this time for myself. “I'll cross...the thick-gusting fog!”
