"Where were you yesterday?" I jumped as I hear Carmen voice. Turning around I glared at her. "Good morning to you too." I said sarcastically. She rolls her eyes. "So where were you?" I turned back to my locker. 

"Why are you asking?"

"Because I was wondering where you were." 

"I didn't go anywhere." 

"Oh really? The fact that I saw you exit the gym with a mysterious guy and you told me you didn't go anywhere?" My eyes widen. "N-no. What do you mean?" I can't let Carmen know that I ditch the party with Tyler. 

She sighs. "We've been friends since we were elementary and I know when you lie. Do you think I will believe what you said?" I tilt my head slowly to Carmen. "I'm just saying the truth." I said without looking at her eyes. But she knows me better than I do. I glance back at her only to see Carmen scrutinize gaze on me. "Fine."
