"Can you believe it! He literally can't stop the saliva coming out from his mouth." I laughed hearing Julia told me what happened in her class before.
"Why did you chose the front seat then?" we walked to our usual table, there I could spot Andy and Liam are in a conversation.
I put my lunch down and sat next to Liam "the back seat has been occupied with the other students and so i have no choice to sat in the front seat and in front of Mr. Hopkins." she emphasis the word 'sat and in'.
Mr. Hopkins is our history teacher and every time he talks there's always a saliva coming out from his mouth. Imagine if you sit in front of him while he's explaining something about history and his saliva flies everywhere and it landed on your face. That is what happened to Julia. Poor Julia. I shuddered imagining if I'm in Julia place I would run out from the class immediately to the bathroom and wash my face a couple of times.
"What happened?" Liam asks us.
"Don't asked." Julia grumble while shoving fries in her mouth.
I chuckled "so you guys know Mr. Hopkins right?" Andy and Liam nodded.
"That saliva teacher." Andy said, I can't help but laugh.
"Yes, that teacher. So Julia has history on first period and she went to class late," she cuts me off "2 minutes late."
"Yes, 2 minutes late then there's only one seat left that is the front seat, in front of his desk and,"
"Wait! Don't tell me you.." Andy voice trailed off as he looked at Julia, eyes wide and pointing at Julia then he laughed out loud. Julia swatted his finger and glared at him.
"Shut up Armstrong!"
"What the heck! Does his saliva flies to your book?"
Julia ignored him and busying shoving his mouth with fries. So I decided to tell him "Not only in her book but in her face too." Julia eyes widen and she try to slapped me from across the table.
Liam and Andy can't help but laughed hearing it "Ew, who knows if he didn't brush his teeth. There are a lot of bacteria in your face right now." Andy said, Julia throw her fries at him this only cause him to laugh harder.
"So how's class?" Liam put his arm around my shoulder, I turned to him and smile "pretty boring actually." he smirks looking at me "does my girl turning bad all of a sudden?"
I smirked in return and kiss his lips "only for you." he kiss me back instantly, fireworks starting to erupt in my stomach.
"Guys, we're in lunch." Andy stated and we both chuckled.
I throw my fries at him and he catches with his mouth. He smiled in triumphant, I rolled my eyes seeing him "show off." I muttered.
"Hey guys, where's Carmen?" Julia asked.
As if on cue Carmen entered the cafeteria with her slow movement. Like in some teens movie, where there's a breeze blowing your hair perfectly.
"Did she always do that?" Julia frowned.
Carmen wink at the few boys then finally stop at our table. "What took you so long?" Carmen sat next to Andy "Mr. Brown gave me the talk, if I don't pass my math on another test he will call my parents." she huffs.
Did I mention that I have another best friend aside from Julia? Probably not, so I'll tell you.
Carmen Diaz, with her tanned skin, brown eyes and long silky black hair. He attract most of the male population in this school. I mean who wouldn't fall for her by just looking at it. She looks dead drop gorgeous. Lucky her for having a parents that looks gorgeous and get their genes.
If you think she act like The Barbie's you're wrong. She's the complete opposite. She's kind, friendly, caring and passionate. She's in the varsity dance team.
She stoles my fries and eat it "did you guys know there will be a new student?" And of course a gossiper too, I mean everyone do that right.
I raised my eyebrow while eating my fries "How did you know?" I asked.
"I may over heard Emma said something about a new student transferring here." she smile sheepish. Of course Emma, she's the big gossiper more like the queen of gossip in our school. So if you want to know something or anything just ask Emma she will know everything that you ask.
Sometimes I wonder where does she knows all those things. Is kinda creepy if you ask me. But in some cases is kinda useful too.
"It's a she or he?" Julia raised her eyebrow curiously, Carmen shrugs "I can't hear clearly cause she was walking a way." Julia pouted "I hope is a he."
"Why is that?" Andy turned to her frowning.
"Cause I need something new and refreshing to look at." she said in a 'duh' tone.
"Hey, I'm here. You could look at me. " Andy said while wiggling his eyebrow. Julia rolls her eyes and throw her fries at Andy face.
"I rather look at matt than you." matt the school nerd.
"And I rather look at Mr. Hopkins without his saliva." Andy said sarcastically and Julia shoot him a glare.
"What's with Mr. Hopkins?" Carmen asked, the three of us shared a look and laugh, Julia bent her head down embarrass.

Walking home from school is actually not that bad, I sometimes prefer walking than getting a ride. Since it's only took me 10 minutes to arrived home, it also gives me a chance to look around the neighborhood.
Liam always offered me a ride home but I declined him, saying that my home is not that far but being a caring boyfriend he is, he always make sure I arrived home safely.
I could see my house is coming to a view but I stopped in my track when I saw a moving truck next to my house.
Scrunching my eyebrow in confusion, I wonder who is my new neighbors. I remember the one lived beside my house is a old couple, they have sell the house for 2 years but no one has buy it, until now.
I shrug and make my way to my house, walking inside the house, I head straight to the kitchen only to find my mother is baking a chocolate muffin and cookies. My favorites. I slowly and quietly try to take the chocolate muffin but my mom swiftly turn around and slap my hand away.
"Ouch!" I rubbed my hand and my mom glared at me through her grey eyes. My mom and I really look different, with a 5'3 height, long blonde hair and grey eyes. While me I'm more of my dad side, with a brown hair, brown eyes and 5'7 height.
"No eating, it's for the neighbors." I pouted "but its chocolate muffin!" I whined which she return with an eye rolled.
"Go and refresh yourself then we will greet the new neighbors."
"What? No, I can't, I have homework."
"It only took us 10 minutes." she head towards the cabinet to take 2 plates for the muffin and cookies.
"10 minutes is precious when you're doing a 2 page essay," I said in a matter of fact "Don't be dramatic I'm sure you will finish in time."
"Why not go with dad?" I frowned.
"Your dad is busy with the diner." 'la parilla or the grill' is my dad diner. My dad is a pro when it comes to cooking and evey dish that he made it's always taste fantastic. That's why my abuela suggest him to open his own restaurant and it has been 12 years since my dad started his own business. My mom, on the other hand, she is worst at cooking. She once sent my cousin to the hospital cause she put too much salt when cooking a scramble eggs.
Who even put that much salt in a freaking scramble eggs? At least she's good at baking.
"Fine, but I want 2 chocolate muffin and cookies mom. No, I need 2 muffin and cookies." I smiled sweetly to my mom and rushed towards my room.
Now all I'm hoping is this neighbors will be friendly and doesn't have a annoying teenagers as their son.
Valerie HernandezThe past few days had been surprisingly okay. Everything seemed to be falling into place, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. I was happy that I was no longer fighting with Tyler, and even Liam had admitted his wrongdoings and apologized. It was a welcome change, and I was grateful for the peace that had settled over. However, I don’t know about Tyler and Liam. But it seems like they haven’t gotten over the fight yet. Tyler broke Liam nose and even after a week, the bruised is still visible. Whereas Tyler only had a small cut on his lips and bruised knuckles, but the rest is fine.Liam and I no longer shared the same table at lunch, but we still acknowledged each other with a small smile or a simple "hey" as we passed in the hallways. It was a far cry from the tension that had once existed between us, and I was glad that we had finally been able to move past it.Then there was Tyler. Despite still having detention, he was finally back at scho
Tyler WilliamsThe next day dawned with a heavy sense of regret weighing on my shoulders. As I tried to approach Valerie, she quickly avoided me, slipping away before I could even say a word. Even at school, she managed to evade me, leaving me feeling like a complete idiot.I couldn't shake the guilt that gnawed at me. My behavior had been completely uncalled for. Valerie had been there for me yesterday, worried about me, and instead of being grateful, I had pushed her away like some kind of jerk. The next day was no different. I woke up early, hoping to catch Valerie before she left for school, but it seemed she had gone with her dad again, slipping through my fingers once more. Another missed opportunity to talk to her, to make things right.Feeling frustrated and desperate, I headed to the auto shop to see if Trevor could help me. I needed to know Valerie's work schedule, but when I asked Trevor, he refused to tell me. Apparently, it was at Valerie's request."Come on, Trevor," I p
Tyler WilliamsI waved my hands triumphantly from inside my car, a wide, arrogant smile plastered on my face as the host announced me as the winner. The crowd roared with excitement as I drove my car out of the rink, the adrenaline still coursing through my veins. As soon as I stepped out of the car, a familiar voice called my name with a tone that sent shivers down my spine. I turned to see Valerie marching towards me, her expression a mix of anger and concern. Behind her were Ryan and Trevor, trying to catch up to Valerie.I felt a surge of shock and confusion. How did Valerie know I was here? And why did she look so angry? It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how she found out, with Ryan and Trevor standing right behind her.I sighed heavily as Valerie stood in front of me, her eyes blazing with anger. She wasted no time in scolding me, her words coming out furiously."Do you have any idea how crazy that was, Tyler?" she demanded, her voice trembling with emotion. "Do yo
Valerie HernandezAs I continued working on the car in the auto shop, I lost track of time, engrossed in the task at hand. Suddenly, Trevor appeared beside me, his voice breaking through the quiet hum of the workshop."Valerie, it's past your working shift," he said gently. "It's time for you to go home."I smiled at him, shaking my head slightly. "It's fine, Trevor," I replied, my voice soft with reassurance. "I just want to finish up here."Trevor approached me, leaning against the side of the car I was fixing. "Are you waiting for Tyler to come back?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for answers.I placed the tools I was holding on the workbench and let out a sigh. "Yeah," I admitted, my voice tinged with worry. "I just want to make sure he's okay after everything that's happened."I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled over me ever since Tyler's outburst earlier. Between his suspension, the news of his father getting married to Liam's mother, it felt like Tyler w
Valerie Hernandez"Tyler! Liam! Stop!" I screamed their name hoping for the fight to stop but it is no use. My voice drowned with the shouting and cheering from the students who gather at the parking lot to witness a fight."Both of you stop!" I tried once again but it is no use. None of them could hear me over the roar of the crowd. The cheers and shouts are getting louder. But amidst the chaos, I could only watch in horror as the fight escalated, my heart pounding in my chest. As the fight grew more serious, panic gripped me like a vice. I watched helplessly as Tyler and Liam continued to exchange blows, each one landing with sickening thuds. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I pleaded for them to stop, but my words fell on deaf ears.Just as I feared the worst, a teacher emerged from the school building, shouting for them to stop. The fight came to an abrupt halt as Tyler and Liam were pulled apart, their faces bruised and bloodied."You two, to the principal's office, now
Valerie HernandezThe next morning, I felt a wave of delight rush over me. Despite the lingering weight of yesterday's events, there was a warmth in my chest as I recalled the laughter and camaraderie shared with Tyler. But the memory of him betting on me soured the sweetness, reminding me of the reckless gamble he had made with my safety. Since he apologize, it is all in the past now and what happened had happened. Luckily, my parents are a deep sleeper so last night as I sneaked in, it was safe to say, for now.I glanced at the clock beside my bed, with a quick stretch, I threw back the covers and swung my legs over the edge of the bed, ready to face the day ahead. After a quick shower and a change of clothes, I made my way downstairs to the kitchen, the scent of freshly cooked pancakes wafting through the air. My dad was at the stove, flipping pancakes with practiced ease, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he caught sight of me."Morning, sweetheart," he greeted m
