I walked into the practice room, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. I had spent the rest of the day thinking about my conversation with Mckenna, and I had come to a realization. I was not going to let Klaus's criticism get to me. I was going to prove to him, and to myself, that I was capable of mastering my powers.

Klaus was already in the practice room, his eyes fixed on me as I entered. I could sense a hint of surprise in his expression, but he quickly masked it with his usual stoic demeanor.
