Korede's POV

"I'm sorry Dad for the way I acted, I was just upset at the news that's all" I said talking to my Dad "I am willing to give the U.S thing a try without anymore complain" I added.

"Well, that's good, I am also sorry about the change" my dad said

"It's okay Dad." I said to him "I'd better start packing" I added. We hug and I go to my room to start packing.

After an hour of packing, I stopped to take a break. Just then I get a WhatsApp message from my friend Di'ja.

Di'ja : Korede! How far na

Korede: I dey o. What's up?

Di'ja: I heard you and your family are relocating to the US? :-(

Korede: Yes. Lol, don't get like that I will miss you too na

Di'ja: How won't I get like that, my bestie is leaving me.

Korede: I am going, but you won't be far from my heart.

Di'ja: I have told you to stop talking to me like I am your girlfriend. :-D

Korede: Mtcheeew, I am even trying to be nice.

Di'ja: hahaha, yeah right. You love me jore and I love you too.

Korede: lol, I do but as a friend.

Di'ja : KB, why you like this na? I know already know. Plus I am older than you.

Korede: Mtcheeew. Lol. Okay o madam. Talk to you later now. I have to finish packing.

Di'ja: Okay na. Bye.:-)

It's already Thursday and I have told most of my friends good bye. But we are still meeting up. I can't believe that I will be leaving so soon.

Later at the gathering.

Me and Ezra and Jasmine were at our "send off" with our friends. When Dave approached us.

"KB, what's up?" He said whilst smiling

"Bros. I dey o" I said whilst giving him a bro hug.

"So two more days. I am seriously going to miss you o" he said

"Abeg, don't be a girl on me. And I will really miss you too." I said whilst laughing

"You are not serious" he said and then he grabbed my head and gave me a nuggy. Upon all my thick hair, his nuggies still are very painful.

"Hey, stop bullying my brother" Ezra said and laughed

"Hey, Ezra." They said and did the bro hug thing

"Kai, I am seriously gonna miss you guys o" Dave said. "Where's Jasmine?" He asked

"She's somewhere. Come let's go and look for her." I told him

When we got to Jasmine she looked at us almost immediately as she'd been waiting for us.

"Hey, Jasmine!" Dave said. I think Dave has a thing for my sister. That very thought grossed me out. It's bad enough that Ezra and Di'ja are always flirting, now Dave and Jasmine are starting to do it to. How inappropriate.

"Davy! How you dey na?" She asked while hugging him. Seriously "Davy" elk.

"I am good o" he answered.

"I heard you are leaving me." He added

"C'mon baby. Not by choice" Jasmine said

"Hahaha. I am gonna miss you most baby girl, you know that" Dave said. All the flirting is making me want to puke. Are you kidding me.

"What about me??" I said faking a pout.

"You? You are you beautiful?" He asked

"No, but I am handsome" I told him

"Okay o. If you say so." Then him and Jasmine started laughing. I laughed along with them and then went on with the party.

I woke up early the next morning. Last night was awesome. I am gonna spend today going round Lagos to see all of the beautiful and relive some memories.

I got up, took my bath got dressed

I got dressed in that. I did my hair. (My hair is my greatest treasure, it's sacred) and I went out to look at Lagos, Ikeja.

I went to the beach. Walked to Mavins. That was where I recorded some my songs. I went to a park and so many more places.

I love Lagos and it hurts that I have to leave. (Note, I HAVE TO leave).

This is my home forever and just because I have to leave doesn't mean that I won't be back.

So you don't have to worry no more, baby no dey worry no more. If all I can do is to sing to you to make you smile I will sing all your favorite songs...

I wrote that song for a friend who was going through a rough time and now I am using the words to comfort my self. Life is funny. All I need to do right now is to make the best of the situation. I will miss this place, I will miss Nigeria. I will miss my friends. But I will be back soon.

This is my home and my home is never far from my heart.

When I went home, I saw Ezra and Jasmine doing the last clean up. But they looked a little pissed to see me.

"Kai! Korede where have you been?" Jasmine asked

"I just went out for a while to look around one last time." I said

"And telling us you were going out skipped your memory" Ezra said, the anger evident in his voice

I couldn't help but laugh at them

"Why are you laughing?" Jasmine asked

"Ya'll care about me, that's why!" I said and walked away, before they could remark.

KB's POVIt was two weeks after I had gotten home from the hospital. Emma was at work a lot and so I had to spend a lot of time with the kids. The doctors said it would be another two weeks before I could go back to recording music. But what I really wanted to do was go and hunt Kyle and Linda down. The kids couldn't go to school anymore because we were afraid it was a security threat. Emma was really stubborn and would not allow KB to persuade her to stop going to work. And everytime she stepped out the door, my heart started to beat fast. What if something happened to my wife? How would we cope without Emma? My mind would start to ask all the questions. And then she'd come back home and I would breath easy.I was about to get up to have my shower when my phone started to ring.It was Ezra."Hey." I said after I had answered it."Hey kiddo. How are you?" I scoffed. I was about to turn 31 but he was still calling me t

Emma's POVI was at home when Ezra rushed in with Di'ja behind him. They both looked frantic. My heart started to pound. Had something happened to my husband."Mum, called. She said something had happened to KB. But she didn't say what exactly." Ezra explained."You guys go to the hospital, I'll watch the kids." Di'ja offered.I nodded and without thinking about anything else, I picked my phone up and ran out of the house.Very soon, Ezra and I were speeding through the streets of Manhattan. I prayed silently in my heart, praying that nothing bad had happened to KB.When we got to the hospital, I spotted Mrs. B walking towards us."He woke up! He woke up!" She yelled continuesly. The worried look on my face turned to a smile. The tears of happiness started to pour down my face immediately I heard it."Oh my God! I thought he had died!" I said through my tears.

Emma's POV"I still can't believe he's not yet out of his coma!" I told Ezra. It had been three weeks since KB had been shot and two weeks since he slipped into a coma.I was scared that he wouldn't wake up.The police were still investigating what had happened and who had done this. But I sort of had an idea. It had to be Kyle and Linda. No one else could have done it."My brother is very strong and he'll come out of it." He said but the look in his eyes told me that he found what he said hard to believe.Mrs. Bello was a mess. She wasn't eating or sleeping anymore. It was almost like she'd lost her will to live. She spent most of her time talking to KB's unconscious body because she really believed he could hear her. I talked to him sometimes too.I missed him so much. Jacob and Justin can't stop asking about their father. We had to tell them for the mean time that he had traveled. But they weren't fooled. They knew some

"They are back in the U.S." She said."Good... They saved us a flight." I replied with a smirk on my face."So what are you going to do?" She asked."What do you think? Get ready Emma and KB to pay for what you have done." I said through gritted teeth."Are you going to kill them?""That's left to fate to decide. Tell Kyle to meet me in front of the gate. We have planning to do."~*~KB's POV"Congratulations, Korede Bello. You have now been signed to Columbia records." The manager Mr. Davis McReynolds said.I grinned widely and shook his hand."Thanks a lot."The picture of me signing my contract was sent to my phone and I put it on my Instagram. It was the best day of my life, well almost. My mind was still thinking about the fact that Kyle and Linda were still out there."Why are you not smiling?" Ezra asked me."Because I can't stop t

KB's POV"Finally! The prodigal children have returned!" Jasmine said.We had just arrived on American soil again and we were still at the airport where all our family members had waited for us. Me, Emma, Ezra, Di'ja and the kids.My mom had a big smile on her face and my Dad tried not to show how happy he was but he couldn't hide it."Good to see you too, Jas." I said and pulled her into a big hug. Although I was very reluctant to come back and I am still not happy about it, I am very happy to see my family again in person."Good afternoon, Mr and Mrs Wilde." I said to Emma's parents who looked just as happy to see us as the rest of them."How are you, son? It's so good to have you guys back." Mr. Wilde said."It's good to be back, Daddy." Emma replied giving her Dad another hug.I know that even if Emma didn't miss anybody in America, she will definitely miss her Dad. She was a huge Daddy's

KB's POV"Mom and Dad want you guys to come back to America." Ezra said. I almost chocked on my food. Where was all this coming from?"For what reason?" I asked."I don't know. But in all fairness, you haven't been there in like two years. There's only so much video conferencing they can take." Ezra said with food stuffed in his mouth. I have always told him to stop because it was a bad habit but after a life time of begging I gave up."Look, we're not going back." I said."Yes we are." Emma said softly.Everyone turned to look at her with surprise written all over their faces. Especially me."What are you talking about?" I asked her."I am saying, it is time for us to go back. Besides, Little JoAnne has never met any of her grandparents." She said so calmly as though it was the simplest thing in the world."Yeah, Korede, just pack up your bags and leave Nigeria to go to America again. Fo
